"IndicationAndUsage": "Mesalamine extended-release capsules are indicated for the maintenance of remission of ulcerative colitis in adults.",
"Description": "Each mesalamine extended-release capsule is a delayed- and extended-release dosage form for oral administration. Each capsule contains 0.375 g of mesalamine USP (5-aminosalicylic acid, 5-ASA), an aminosalicylate. The structural formula of mesalamine is:. Molecular Weight: 153.14. Molecular Formula: C7H7NO3. Each mesalamine extended-release capsule contains granules composed of mesalamine in a polymer matrix with an enteric coating that dissolves at pH 6 and above. The inactive ingredients of mesalamine extended-release capsules are: anhydrous citric acid, aspartame, colloidal silicon dioxide, edible black ink, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid copolymer, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, simethicone emulsion ethyl acrylate/methyl methacrylate copolymer nonoxynol 100 dispersion, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate, vanilla flavor. Each mesalamine extended-release 0.375 g capsule contains 0.56 mg of phenylalanine."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Sertraline hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of the following [See Clinical Studies (14)] : : 1 Major depressive disorder (MDD), 2 Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), 3 Panic disorder (PD), 4 Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), 5 Social anxiety disorder (SAD), 6 Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).",
"Description": "Sertraline hydrochloride tablets, USP contain sertraline hydrochloride, an SSRI. Sertraline hydrochloride has a molecular weight of 342.7 and has the following chemical name: (1S-cis)-4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-N-methyl-1-naphthalenamine hydrochloride. The empirical formula C 17H 17NCl 2HCl is represented by the following structural formula:. Sertraline hydrochloride is a white crystalline powder that is slightly soluble in water and isopropyl alcohol, and sparingly soluble in ethanol. Sertraline hydrochloride tablets, USP are supplied for oral administration as scored tablets containing sertraline hydrochloride equivalent to 25, 50 and 100 mg of sertraline and the following inactive ingredients: dibasic calcium phosphate anhydrous, D & C Yellow #10 aluminum lake (in 25 mg tablet), FD & C Blue #1 aluminum lake (in 25 mg tablet), FD & C Blue # 2 aluminum lake (in 50 mg tablet), hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, iron oxide yellow (in 100 mg tablet), and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Atomoxetine is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor indicated for the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). (1.1).",
"Description": "Atomoxetine is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Atomoxetine hydrochloride is the R(-) isomer as determined by x-ray diffraction. The chemical designation is (-)-N-Methyl-3-phenyl-3-(o-tolyloxy)-propylamine hydrochloride. The molecular formula is C17H21NOHCl, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 291.82. The chemical structure is. Atomoxetine hydrochloride is a white to practically white solid, which has a solubility of 27.8 mg/mL in water. Each atomoxetine capsule intended for oral administration contains atomoxetine hydrochloride, USP equivalent to atomoxetine 10 mg or 18 mg or 25 mg or 40 mg or 60 mg or 80 mg or 100 mg. In addition, each capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, gelatin, pregelatinized starch, sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide. Additionally each 18 mg capsule shell contains: iron oxide yellow, each 25 mg and 40 mg capsule shell contains: FD & C blue # 2, each 60 mg capsule shell contains: FD & C blue # 2 and iron oxide yellow and each 80 mg and 100 mg capsule shell contains: iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow. The capsule is printed with black pharmaceutical ink which contains following ingredients: black iron oxide, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol and shellac."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Liraglutide injection is indicated: : 1 as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients aged 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus.",
"Description": "Liraglutide injection contains liraglutide, an analog of human GLP-1 and acts as a GLP-1 receptor agonist. The liraglutide is produced by a solid phase synthesis and is 97% homologous to native human GLP-1 by substituting arginine for lysine at position 34 and attaching a C-16 fatty acid (palmitic acid) with a glutamic acid spacer on the remaining lysine residue at position 26. The molecular formula of liraglutide is C172H265N43O51 and the molecular weight is 3751.2 Daltons. The structural formula (Figure 1) is. Figure 1: Structural Formula of Liraglutide. Liraglutide injection is a sterile, aqueous, clear, colorless solution for subcutaneous use. Each 1 mL of liraglutide injection solution contains 6 mg of liraglutide and the following inactive ingredients: disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, 1.42 mg; phenol, 5.5 mg; propylene glycol, 14 mg; and water for injection. Liraglutide injection has a pH between 8.0 and 8.4, hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH. Each prefilled pen contains a 3 mL solution of liraglutide injection equivalent to 18 mg liraglutide (free-base, anhydrous)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of tetracycline hydrochloride and other antibacterial drugs, tetracycline hydrochloride should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy. Tetracycline is indicated in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated organisms in the conditions listed below: 1 Upper respiratory tract infections caused by Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Hemophilus influenzae. "Description": "Tetracycline is a yellow, odorless, crystalline powder. Tetracycline is stable in air but exposure to strong sunlight causes it to darken. Its potency is affected in solutions of pH below 2 and is rapidly destroyed by alkali hydroxide solutions. Tetracycline is very slightly soluble in water, freely soluble in dilute acid and in alkali hydroxide solutions, sparingly soluble in alcohol, and practically insoluble in chloroform and in ether. The chemical name for tetracycline hydrochloride is 4-(Dimethylamino)-1,4,4a,5,5a,6,11,12a-octahydro-3,6,10,12,-12a-pentahydroxy-6-methyl-1,11-dioxo-2-naphthacenecar-boxamide monohydrochloride. Its structural formula is as follows. C22H24N208HCI M.W. 480.90. Each capsule, for oral administration, contains 250 mg or 500 mg tetracycline hydrochloride, and has the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, D&C Yellow #10, gelatin, pregelatinized starch, propylene glycol, shellac glaze (modified), stearic acid, and titanium dioxide. The 250 mg capsules also contain black iron oxide, FD&C Blue #1 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Blue #2 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Red #40 Aluminum Lake, and FD&C Yellow #6. Its molecular formula is C22H22ClKN6O, and its structural formula is. Losartan potassium USP is a white to off-white powder with a molecular weight of 461.01. It is freely soluble in water, soluble in alcohols, and slightly soluble in common organic solvents, such as acetonitrile and methyl ethyl ketone. Oxidation of the 5-hydroxymethyl group on the imidazole ring results in the active metabolite of losartan. Hydrochlorothiazide is 6-chloro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,2,4-benzothiadiazine-7-sulfonamide 1,1-dioxide. Its molecular formula is C7H8ClN3O4S2 and its structural formula is. Hydrochlorothiazide USP is a white or practically white, practically odorless, crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 297.74, which is slightly soluble in water, but freely soluble in sodium hydroxide solution. "IndicationAndUsage": "Atracurium Besylate Injection, USP is indicated, as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate endotracheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.",
"Description": "Atracurium besylate is an intermediate-duration, nondepolarizing, skeletal muscle relaxant for intravenous administration. Atracurium besylate is designated as 2-(2-Carboxyethyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-6,7-dimethoxy-2-methyl-1-veratrylisoquinolinium benzenesulfonate, pentamethylene ester. It has a molecular weight of 1243.49, and its molecular formula is C65H82N2O18S2. Atracurium besylate USP is white to almost white solid and hygroscopic. The structural formula is. Atracurium besylate is a complex molecule containing four sites at which different stereochemical configurations can occur. The symmetry of the molecule, however, results in only ten, instead of sixteen, possible different isomers. The manufacture of atracurium besylate results in these isomers being produced in unequal amounts but with a consistent ratio.
