Lidocaine hydrochloride injection, USP solution contain lidocaine hydrochloride, USP, which is chemically designated as acetamide, 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-, monohydrochloride and has the molecular wt. 270.8. Lidocaine hydrochloride, USP (C14H22N2O HCl) has the following structural formula. Lidocaine hydrochloride injection, USP is a clear, colorless, sterile, nonpyrogenic, isotonic solution containing sodium chloride. Each mL also contains 1 mg methylparaben as antiseptic preservative. "IndicationAndUsage": "Gabapentin is indicated for: : 1 Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy .",
"Description": "The active ingredient in gabapentin capsules and tablets, USP is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C 9H 17NO 2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is:. Gabapentin, USP is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 4.72±0.10 and a pKa2 of 10.27±0.29. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient is -1.083±0.235 at 25°C temperature. Each gabapentin capsule contains 100 mg, 300 mg or 400 mg of gabapentin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: pregelatinized starch (maize), and talc. The 100 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and titanium dioxide. The 300 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, FD&C Red 40, D&C Yellow 10, and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). The 400mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), D&C Yellow 10, and FD&C Red 40. The imprinting ink contains shellac, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution, black iron oxide, and potassium hydroxide. Each gabapentin tablet contains 600 mg or 800 mg of gabapentin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: poloxamer 407, mannitol, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, talc, copovidone, crospovidone, colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, titanium dioxide and polyethylene glycol."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Doxycycline hyclate tablets are tetracycline class drugs indicated for: 1 Rickettsial infections (1.1), 2 Sexually transmitted infections (1.2), 3 Respiratory tract infections (1.3), 4 Specific bacterial infections (1.4), 5 Ophthalmic infections (1.5), 6 Anthrax, including inhalational anthrax (post-exposure) (1.6), 7 Alternative treatment for selected infections when penicillin is contraindicated (1.7), 8 Adjunctive therapy for acute intestinal amebiasis and severe acne (1.8), 9 Prophylaxis of malaria (1.9).",
"Description": "Doxycycline Hyclate Tablets, USP contain doxycycline hyclate, USP a tetracycline class drug synthetically derived from oxytetracycline, in an immediate release formulation for oral administration. The molecular formula of doxycycline hyclate is (C22H24N2O8 · HCl)2 ·C2H6O·H2O and the molecular weight of doxycycline hyclate is 1025.87. The chemical name for doxycycline hyclate is: 4-(Dimethylamino)-1,4,4a,5,5a,6,11,12a-octahydro-3,5,10,12,12a-pentahydroxy-6-methyl-1,11-dioxo-2 naphthacenecarboxamide monohydrochloride, compound with ethyl alcohol (2:1), monohydrate. The structural formula for doxycycline hyclate is. Figure 1: Structure of Doxycycline Hyclate. Doxycycline hyclate is a yellow crystalline powder soluble in water and in solutions of alkali hydroxides and carbonates. Doxycycline hyclate tablets, USP are available as 75 mg and 150 mg tablets. Each 75 mg tablet contains 86.6 mg of doxycycline hyclate equivalent to 75 mg of doxycycline. Each 150 mg tablet contains 173.2 mg of doxycycline hyclate equivalent to 150 mg of doxycycline. Inactive ingredients in the tablet formulation are: carnauba wax, croscarmellose sodium, FD&C Blue #1 Aluminum Lake (75 mg Tablet), FD&C Blue #2 Aluminum Lake (150 mg Tablet), FD&C Yellow #6 Aluminum Lake (75 mg Tablet), iron oxide yellow (150 mg Tablet), macrogol/PEG, magnesium stearate, NF (vegetable grade), microcrystalline cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol-part hydrolyzed, purified water, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc, titanium dioxide. Doxycycline hyclate tablets USP, 75 mg contain 0.128 mg (0.0056 mEq) of sodium. Doxycycline hyclate tablets USP, 150 mg contain 0.256 mg (0.0111 mEq) of sodium."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pregabalin capsules are indicated for. Management of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Management of postherpetic neuralgia. Adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older. Management of fibromyalgia. Management of neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury.",
"Description": "Pregabalin is described chemically as ( S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C 8H 17NO 2and the molecular weight is 159.23. The chemical structure of pregabalin is:. Pregabalin is a white to off-white, crystalline powder with a pK a1of 4.2 and a pK a2of 10.6. It is sparingly soluble in water. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is - 1.35. Pregabalin Capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg, and 300 mg of pregabalin, along with pregelatinized starch and talc as inactive ingredients. The capsule shells contain gelatin, titanium dioxide and sodium lauryl sulfate. In addition, the orange capsule shells (75 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg and 300 mg strengths) contain the colorants FD&C Blue 1, FD&C Red 40 and FD&C Yellow 6. The imprinting ink contains shellac, black iron oxide, propylene glycol, and potassium hydroxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Protamine Sulfate Injection, USP is indicated in the treatment of heparin overdosage.",
"Description": "Protamines are simple proteins of low molecular weight that are rich in arginine and strongly basic. They occur in the sperm of salmon and certain other species of fish. Protamine sulfate occurs as fine white or off-white amorphous or crystalline powder. It is sparingly soluble in water. The pH is between 6.0 and 7.0. The cationic hydrogenated protamine at a pH of 6.8 to 7.1 reacts with anionic heparin at a pH of 5.0 to 7.5 to form an inactive complex. Protamine Sulfate Injection, USP is a sterile, isotonic solution of protamine sulfate. It acts as a heparin antagonist. It is also a weak anticoagulant. Each mL contains: Protamine sulfate 10 mg; sodium chloride 9 mg; Water for Injection q.s. Sulfuric acid and/or dibasic sodium phosphate (heptahydrate) may have been added for pH adjustment. The preparation is preservative free. Protamine sulfate is administered intravenously."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Verapamil Hydrochloride Injection, USP is indicated for the following: 1 Rapid conversion to sinus rhythm of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardias, including those associated with accessory bypass tracts (Wolff-Parkinson-White [W-P-W] and Lown-Ganong- Levine [L-G-L] syndromes). When clinically advisable, appropriate vagal maneuvers (e.g., Valsalva maneuver) should be attempted prior to verapamil hydrochloride administration., 2 Temporary control of rapid ventricular rate in atrial flutter or atrial fibrillation except when the atrial flutter and/or atrial fibrillation are associated with accessory bypass tracts (Wolff-Parkinson-White (W-P-W) and Lown-Ganong-Levine (L-G-L) syndromes).",
"Description": "Verapamil hydrochloride is a calcium antagonist or slow-channel inhibitor. Verapamil Hydrochloride Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution containing verapamil hydrochloride 2.5 mg/mL and sodium chloride 8.5 mg/mL in water for injection. The solution contains no bacteriostat or antimicrobial agent and is intended for single-dose intravenous administration. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment; pH is 4.0 to 6.5. The chemical name of Verapamil Hydrochloride, USP is benzeneacetonitrile, α-[3-[{2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethyl} methylamino] propyl]-3,4-dimethoxy-α-(1-methylethyl) hydrochloride. Verapamil hydrochloride is a white or practically white crystalline powder. It is practically odorless and has a bitter taste. It is soluble in water; freely soluble in chloroform; sparingly soluble in alcohol; practically insoluble in ether. It has the following structural formula. Molecular weight: 491.07. Molecular formula: C27H38N2O4 HCl. Verapamil hydrochloride is not chemically related to other antiarrhythmic drugs."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Haloperidol decanoate injection is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults who were previously taking a stable dosage of an immediate-release oral haloperidol product.",
"Description": "Haloperidol decanoate injection is the decanoate ester of haloperidol, for intramuscular use. Haloperidol is a typical antipsychotic. The structural formula of haloperidol decanoate 4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-oxobutyl]-piperidin-4-yl decanoate, is:. The molecular formula is C31H41CIFNO3 and has a molecular weight of 530.12. Haloperidol decanoate, USP is almost insoluble in water (0.01 mg/mL), but is soluble in most organic solvents. Each mL of haloperidol decanoate injection contains: 1 50 mg of haloperidol (present as 70.5 mg of haloperidol decanoate) in a sesame oil vehicle with 1.2% (w/v) benzyl alcohol as a preservative., 2 100 mg of haloperidol (present as 141 mg of haloperidol decanoate) in a sesame oil vehicle with 1.2% (w/v) benzyl alcohol as a preservative."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Parenteral therapy should be reserved for patients unable to take oral medication or for patients in emergency clinical situations. Edema: Furosemide is indicated in adults and pediatric patients for the treatment of edema associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and renal disease, including the nephrotic syndrome. Furosemide is particularly useful when an agent with greater diuretic potential is desired. Furosemide is indicated as adjunctive therapy in acute pulmonary edema. The intravenous administration of furosemide is indicated when a rapid onset of diuresis is desired, e.g., in acute pulmonary edema. If gastrointestinal absorption is impaired or oral medication is not practical for any reason, furosemide is indicated by the intravenous or intramuscular route. Parenteral use should be replaced with oral furosemide as soon as practical.",

Furosemide Injection, USP 10 mg/mL is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution in vials for intravenous and intramuscular injection. Furosemide, USP is a white to slightly yellowish, odorless crystalline powder. It is freely soluble in acetone, in dimethylformamide, and in solutions of alkali hydroxides, soluble in methanol, sparingly soluble in alcohol, slightly soluble in ether, very slightly soluble in chloroform, practically insoluble in water. The structural formula is as follows. Molecular Formula: C12H11ClN2O5S. Molecular Weight: 330.74. Each mL contains: Furosemide, USP 10 mg, Water for Injection q.s., Sodium Chloride for isotonicity, Sodium Hydroxide and, if necessary, Hydrochloric Acid to adjust pH between 8.0 and 9.3."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Glycopyrrolate Injection is an anticholinergic indicated. in anesthesia (adult and pediatric patients): 1 for reduction of salivary, tracheobronchial, and pharyngeal secretions, reduction of volume and acidity of gastric secretions, and blockade of cardiac inhibitory reflexes during induction of anesthesia and intubation., 2 intraoperatively to counteract surgically or drug-induced or vagal reflex-associated arrhythmias., 3 for protection against peripheral muscarinic effects of cholinergic agents. (1).",
"Description": "Glycopyrrolate is a synthetic anticholinergic agent. It is a quaternary ammonium salt with the following chemical name. 3[(cyclopentylhydroxyphenylacetyl)oxy]-1,1-dimethyl pyrrolidinium bromide. The molecular formula is C19H28BrNO3 and the molecular weight is 398.33. Its structural formula is as follows:. C19H28BrNO3 398.33. Glycopyrrolate occurs as a white, odorless crystalline powder. It is soluble in water and alcohol, and practically insoluble in chloroform and ether. It is completely ionized at physiological pH values. Glycopyrrolate injection, USP is a clear, colorless, sterile liquid with a pH 2.0 to 3.0. The partition coefficient of glycopyrrolate in a n-octanol/water system is 0.304 (log10 P = -1.52) at ambient room temperature (24°C). Glycopyrrolate injection, USP is intended for intramuscular or intravenous administration. Each 1 mL contains 0.2 mg of glycopyrrolate, water for injection, benzyl alcohol is used as preservative and hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide as pH adjusters."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Cyanocobalamin is indicated for vitamin B12 deficiencies due to malabsorption which may be associated with the following conditions. Addisonian (pernicious) anemia. Gastrointestinal pathology, dysfunction, or surgery, including gluten enteropathy or sprue, small bowel bacteria overgrowth, total or partial. gastrectomy. Fish tapeworm infestation. Malignancy of pancreas or bowel. Folic acid deficiency. It may be possible to treat the underlying disease by surgical correction of anatomic lesions leading to small bowel bacterial overgrowth, expulsion of fish tapeworm, discontinuation of drugs leading to vitamin malabsorption (see Drug Interactions), use of a gluten-free diet in nontropical sprue, or administration of antibiotics in tropical sprue. Such measures remove the need for long-term administration of cyanocobalamin. Requirements of vitamin B12 in excess of normal (due to pregnancy, thyrotoxicosis, hemolytic anemia, hemorrhage, malignancy, hepatic and renal disease) can usually be met with oral supplementation. Cyanocobalamin injection is also suitable for the vitamin B12 absorption test (Schilling test).",
"Description": "Cyanocobalamin injection, USP is a sterile solution of cyanocobalamin for intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. Each mL contains 1,000 mcg cyanocobalamin. Each vial also contains Sodium Chloride, 0.50%. Benzyl Alcohol, 1.5%, is present as a preservative. Sodium acetate and glacial acetic acid are present as buffer. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may have been added during manufacture to adjust the pH (range 4.5-7.0). Cyanocobalamin appears as dark red crystals or as an amorphous or crystalline red powder. It is very hygroscopic in the anhydrous form, and sparingly soluble in water (1:80). The vitamin B12 coenzymes are very unstable in light. The chemical name is 5,6-dimethyl-benzimidazolyl cyanocobamide; the molecular formula is C63H88CoN14O14P. The cobalt content is 4.34%. The molecular weight is 1355.39. The structural formula is represented below."

"Description": "Lidocaine hydrochloride injection, USP is sterile, nonpyrogenic, aqueous solution that contains a local anesthetic agent and is administered parenterally by injection. See INDICATIONS AND USAGE section for specific uses. Lidocaine hydrochloride injection, USP solution contain lidocaine hydrochloride, USP which is chemically designated as acetamide, 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-, monohydrochloride and has the molecular wt. 270.8. Lidocaine hydrochloride, USP (C14H22N2OHCl) has the following structural formula. Lidocaine hydrochloride injection, USP is a clear, colorless, sterile, nonpyrogenic, isotonic solution containing sodium chloride. The pH of this solution is adjusted to approximately 5.0 to 7.0 with sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid."

"Description": "Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets are L-thyroxine (T4) and contain the active ingredient, levothyroxine, a synthetic crystalline L-3,3',5,5'-tetraiodothyronine sodium salt. Synthetic T4 is chemically identical to that produced in the human thyroid gland. Levothyroxine (T4) sodium has an empirical formula of C15H10I4NNaO4H2O, molecular weight of 798.86 g/mol (anhydrous), and structural formula as shown. Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets are for oral administration and are available in the following strengths: 25 mcg, 50 mcg, 75 mcg, 88 mcg, 100 mcg, 112 mcg, 125 mcg, 137 mcg, 150 mcg, 175 mcg, 200 mcg, and 300 mcg. Each levothyroxine sodium tablet contains the inactive ingredients butylated hydroxytoluene, calcium phosphate dibasic dihydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium starch glycolate, and color additive(s). Table 9 provides a listing of the color additives by tablet strength."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets are indicated for.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets, USP a PPI, is a substituted benzimidazole, sodium 5-(difluoromethoxy)-2-[[(3,4-dimethoxy-2-pyridinyl)methyl]sulfinyl]-1 H-benzimidazole sesquihydrate, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its molecular formula is C 16H 14F 2N 3NaO 4S x 1.5 H 2O, with a molecular weight of 432.4. The structural formula is:. Pantoprazole sodium USP is a white to off-white powder and is racemic. Pantoprazole has weakly basic and acidic properties. Pantoprazole sodium USP is freely soluble in water, very slightly soluble in phosphate buffer at pH 7.4, and practically insoluble in n-hexane. The stability of the compound in aqueous solution is pH-dependent. The rate of degradation increases with decreasing pH. At ambient temperature, the degradation half-life is approximately 2.8 hours at pH 5 and approximately 220 hours at pH 7.8. Pantoprazole sodium USP is supplied as a delayed-release tablet, available in two strengths 20 mg pantoprazole (equivalent to 22.56 mg of pantoprazole sodium USP) and 40 mg pantoprazole (equivalent to 45.1 mg of pantoprazole sodium USP). Pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets, USP contains the following inactive ingredients: calcium stearate, crospovidone, ferric oxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, mannitol, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion, sodium carbonate, and triethyl citrate. The tablets are imprinted with brown ink containing ammonium hydroxide, iron oxide black, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, isopropyl alcohol, N-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, and shellac glaze in ethanol. Pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets (40 mg and 20 mg) complies USP dissolution test 3."

Chemically it is (1S,2S,3R,5S)-3-[7-[[(1R,2S)-2-(3,4-difluorophenyl)cyclopropyl]amino]-5-(propylsulfanyl)-3H-[1,2,3] triazolo[4,5-d]-pyrimidin-3-yl]-5-(2-hydroxyethoxy)cyclopentane-1,2-diol The molecular formula of ticagrelor is C23H28F2N6O4S and its molecular weight is 522.6. The chemical structure of ticagrelor is. Ticagrelor is off white to pale pink powder with an aqueous solubility of approximately 10 mcg/mL at room temperature. It is freely soluble in dimethylsulphoxide, sparingly soluble in methanol, and insoluble in water. Ticagrelor tablets for oral administration contain 60 mg or 90 mg of ticagrelor and the following ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, mannitol, polyethylene glycol, povidone, and titanium dioxide. The 60 mg tablets also contain D&C yellow #10 aluminum lake, FD&C blue #1 aluminum lake, and FD&C red #40 aluminum lake. The 90 mg tablets also contain talc."
