"IndicationAndUsage": "Temozolomide is an alkylating drug indicated for the treatment of adults with: 1 Newly diagnosed glioblastoma concomitantly with radiotherapy and then as maintenance treatment. (1.1), 2 Anaplastic astrocytoma. (1.2) Adjuvant treatment of adults with newly diagnosed anaplastic astrocytoma. (1.2) Treatment of adults with refractory anaplastic astrocytoma. (1.2) .",
"Description": "Temozolomide is an alkylating drug. The chemical name of temozolomide is 3,4-dihydro-3-methyl-4-oxoimidazo[5,1-d]-as-tetrazine-8-carboxamide. The structural formula of temozolomide is. The material is a white to light tan/light pink powder with a molecular formula of C6H6N6O2 and a molecular weight of 194.15. The molecule is stable at acidic pH (<5) and labile at pH >7; hence temozolomide can be administered orally and intravenously. The prodrug, temozolomide, is rapidly hydrolyzed to the active 5-(3-methyltriazen-1-yl) imidazole-4-carboxamide (MTIC) at neutral and alkaline pH values, with hydrolysis taking place even faster at alkaline pH. Temozolomide capsules, USP. Each capsule for oral use contains either 5 mg, 20 mg, 100 mg, 140 mg, 180 mg, or 250 mg of temozolomide. The inactive ingredients for Temozolomide Capsules, USP are as follows. Temozolomide Capsules 5 mg: lactose anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium starch glycolate, tartaric acid, and stearic acid.Temozolomide Capsules 20 mg: lactose anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium starch glycolate, tartaric acid, and stearic acid.Temozolomide Capsules 100 mg: lactose anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium starch glycolate, tartaric acid, and stearic acid.Temozolomide Capsules 140 mg: lactose anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium starch glycolate, tartaric acid, and stearic acid.Temozolomide Capsules 180 mg: lactose anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium starch glycolate, tartaric acid, and stearic acid.Temozolomide Capsules 250 mg: lactose anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium starch glycolate, tartaric acid, and stearic acid. The body of the capsules is made of gelatin and is opaque white. The cap is also made of gelatin, and the colors vary based on the dosage strength. The capsule body and cap are imprinted with pharmaceutical branding ink, which contains shellac, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, purified water, strong ammonia solution, potassium hydroxide, and ferric oxide. Temozolomide Capsules 5 mg: The green cap contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, and FD&C Blue 2.Temozolomide Capsules 20 mg: The yellow cap contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide.Temozolomide Capsules 100 mg: The pink cap contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide, and red iron oxide.Temozolomide Capsules 140 mg: The blue cap contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide and FD&C Blue #2.Temozolomide Capsules 180 mg: The orange cap contains gelatin, titanium dioxide and red iron oxide.Temozolomide Capsules 250 mg: The white cap contains gelatin, titanium dioxide. "IndicationAndUsage": "When oral therapy is not feasible and the strength, dosage form, and route of administration of the drug reasonably lend the preparation to the treatment of the condition, the intramuscular use of Methylprednisolone Acetate Injectable Suspension, sterile aqueous suspension, is indicated as follows:. Allergic States: Control of severe or incapacitating allergic conditions intractable to adequate trials of conventional treatment in asthma, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, drug hypersensitivity reactions, serum sickness, transfusion reactions. Dermatologic Diseases: Bullous dermatitis herpetiformis, exfoliative erythroderma, mycosis fungoides, pemphigus, severe erythema multiforme (Stevens-Johnson syndrome). Endocrine Disorders: Primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the drug of choice; synthetic analogs may be used in conjunction with mineralocorticoids where applicable; in infancy, mineralocorticoid supplementation is of particular importance), congenital adrenal hyperplasia, hypercalcemia associated with cancer, nonsuppurative thyroiditis. Gastrointestinal Diseases: To tide the patient over a critical period of the disease in regional enteritis (systemic therapy) and ulcerative colitis. Hematologic Disorders: Acquired (autoimmune) hemolytic anemia, congenital (erythroid) hypoplastic anemia (Diamond Blackfan anemia), pure red cell aplasia, select cases of secondary thrombocytopenia. Miscellaneous: Trichinosis with neurologic or myocardial involvement, tuberculous meningitis with subarachnoid block or impending block when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy. Neoplastic Diseases: For palliative management of leukemias and lymphomas. Nervous System: Cerebral edema associated with primary or metastatic brain tumor or craniotomy. Ophthalmic Diseases: Sympathetic ophthalmia, temporal arteritis, uveitis and ocular inflammatory conditions unresponsive to topical corticosteroids. Renal Diseases: To induce diuresis or remission of proteinuria in idiopathic nephrotic syndrome, or that due to lupus erythematosus. Respiratory Diseases: Berylliosis, fulminating or disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy, idiopathic eosinophilic pneumonias, symptomatic sarcoidosis. Rheumatic Disorders: As adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in acute gouty arthritis; acute rheumatic carditis; ankylosing spondylitis; psoriatic arthritis; rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (selected cases may require low-dose maintenance therapy). For the treatment of dermatomyositis, polymyositis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.",
"Description": "Methylprednisolone Acetate Injectable Suspension, USP is an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid for intramuscular, intra-articular, soft tissue, or intralesional injection. It is available in two strengths: 40 mg per mL, 80 mg per mL. Each mL of these preparations contains:. Methylprednisolone acetate……………………………………40 mg……………………..80 mg. The chemical name for methylprednisolone acetate is pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione, 21-(acetyloxy)-11,17-dihydroxy-6-methyl-,(6α,11ß)- and the molecular weight is 416.51. The structural formula is represented below:. Methylprednisolone Acetate Injectable Suspension, USP, sterile aqueous suspension, contains methylprednisolone acetate which is the 6-methyl derivative of prednisolone. Methylprednisolone acetate is a white or practically white, odorless, crystalline powder which melts at about 215° with some decomposition. It is soluble in dioxane, sparingly soluble in acetone, alcohol, chloroform, and methanol, and slightly soluble in ether. It is practically insoluble in water."

"Description": "Methimazole, USP (1-methylimidazole-2-thiol) is a white, crystalline substance that is freely soluble in water. It differs chemically from the drugs of the thiouracil series primarily because it has a 5- instead of a 6-membered ring. Each tablet contains 5 or 10 mg (43.8 or 87.6 μmol) methimazole, an orally administered antithyroid drug. Each tablet also contains lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, potato starch and talc. The molecular weight is 114.16, and the molecular formula is C4H6N2S. The structural formula is as follows."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Duloxetine Delayed-Release Capsules are indicated for the treatment of: 1 Major depressive disorder in adults, 2 Generalized anxiety disorder in adults and pediatric patients 7 years of age and older.",
"Description": "Duloxetine Delayed-Release Capsules contain duloxetine hydrochloride, a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). The chemical name of duloxetine hydrochloride is (+)-(S)-N-methyl-γ-(1-naphthyloxy)-2-thiophenepropylamine hydrochloride. The empirical formula is C18H19NOSHCl, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 333.88. The structural formula is. Duloxetine hydrochloride is a white to brownish-white solid, which is slightly soluble in water. Duloxetine Delayed-Release Capsules are intended for oral administration. Each capsule contains enteric-coated pellets of 80 mg, 90 mg, or 120 mg of duloxetine (equivalent to 89.8 mg, 101 mg, or 134.7 mg of duloxetine hydrochloride, USP, respectively). These enteric-coated pellets are designed to prevent degradation of the drug in the acidic environment of the stomach. Inactive ingredients of the enteric-coated pellets include colloidal silicon dioxide, cysteine, hypromellose, hypromellose phthalate, sucrose, sugar spheres, talc, and triethyl citrate. The capsule shell ingredients for the 80 mg strength are D&C Yellow #10, gelatin, and titanium dioxide. The capsule shell ingredients for the 90 mg strength are D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #40, gelatin, and titanium dioxide. The capsule shell ingredients for the 120 mg strength are D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Green #3, FD&C Red #40, gelatin, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Metformin hydrochloride oral solution is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients 10 years of age and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus.",
"Description": "Metformin hydrochloride oral solution contains the biguanidine antihyperglycemic agent metformin in the form of monohydrochloride salt. Metformin hydrochloride, USP is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is shown as. Metformin hydrochloride, USP is a white crystalline powder with a molecular formula of C 4H 11N 5HCl and a molecular weight of 165.62. The pKa of metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. It is freely soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol; practically insoluble in acetone and in methylene chloride. Metformin hydrochloride oral solution contains 500 mg of metformin hydrochloride, USP (the equivalent of 389.93 mg metformin) per 5 mL and the following inactive ingredients: Benzoic Acid, hydrochloric acid, potassium bicarbonate, purified water, strawberry flavor, sucralose, and xanthan gum."

Ondansetron hydrochloride USP (dihydrate) is a white to off-white powder that is soluble in water and normal saline. Ondansetron tablets, USP for oral administration contain ondansetron hydrochloride USP (dihydrate) equivalent to 4 mg or 8 mg or 24 mg of ondansetron. Each film-coated tablet also contains the inactive ingredients anhydrous lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch (maize), magnesium stearate, triacetin, titanium dioxide and hypromellose. In addition 8 mg tablet also contains iron oxide yellow and 24 mg tablet also contains iron oxide red. Meets USP dissolution test 6."

"Description": "The active ingredient in ondansetron tablets, USP is ondansetron hydrochloride as the dihydrate, the racemic form of ondansetron and a selective blocking agent of the serotonin 5-HT 3 receptor type. Chemically it is (±) 1, 2, 3, 9-tetrahydro-9-methyl-3-[(2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl]-4H-carbazol-4-one, monohydrochloride, dihydrate. It has the following structural formula:. The molecular formula is C 18H 19N 3OHCl2H 2O, representing a molecular weight of 365.9. Ondansetron hydrochloride USP (dihydrate) is a white to off-white powder that is soluble in water and normal saline. Ondansetron tablets, USP for oral administration contain ondansetron hydrochloride USP (dihydrate) equivalent to 4 mg or 8 mg or 24 mg of ondansetron. Each film-coated tablet also contains the inactive ingredients anhydrous lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch (maize), magnesium stearate, triacetin, titanium dioxide and hypromellose. In addition 8 mg tablet also contains iron oxide yellow and 24 mg tablet also contains iron oxide red. Meets USP dissolution test 6."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Bortezomib for Injection is a proteasome inhibitor indicated for: : 1 treatment of adult patients with multiple myeloma (1.1) , 2 treatment of adult patients with mantle cell lymphoma (1.2) .",
"Description": "Bortezomib for Injection, a proteasome inhibitor, contains bortezomib which is an antineoplastic agent. Bortezomib is a modified dipeptidyl boronic acid. The chemical name for bortezomib, the monomeric boronic acid, is [(1R)-3-methyl-1[[(2S)-1-oxo-3-phenyl-2[(pyrazinylcarbonyl)amino]propyl]amino]butyl] boronic acid. Bortezomib has the following chemical structure:. The solubility of bortezomib, as the monomeric boronic acid, in water is 3.3 to 3.8 mg/mL in a pH range of 2 to 6.5. Bortezomib for injection is available for intravenous injection or subcutaneous use. Each single-dose vial contains 3.5 mg of bortezomib as a sterile lyophilized powder. It also contains the inactive ingredient: 35 mg mannitol, USP. The product is provided as a mannitol boronic ester which, in reconstituted form, consists of the mannitol ester in equilibrium with its hydrolysis product, the monomeric boronic acid. The drug substance exists in its cyclic anhydride form as a trimeric boroxine."
