"IndicationAndUsage": "Hypertension. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets are indicated in the management of hypertension. It may be used alone or used in combination with other antihypertensive agents, particularly a thiazide diuretic. Propranolol hydrochloride is not indicated in the management of hypertensive emergencies. Angina Pectoris Due to Coronary Atherosclerosis. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets are indicated to decrease angina frequency and increase exercise tolerance in patients with angina pectoris. Atrial Fibrillation. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets are indicated to control ventricular rate in patients with atrial fibrillation and a rapid ventricular response. Myocardial Infarction. Propranolol is indicated to reduce cardiovascular mortality in patients who have survived the acute phase of myocardial infarction and are clinically stable. Migraine. Propranolol is indicated for the prophylaxis of common migraine headache. The efficacy of propranolol in the treatment of a migraine attack that has started has not been established, and propranolol is not indicated for such use. Essential Tremor. Propranolol is indicated in the management of familial or hereditary essential tremor. Familial or essential tremor consists of involuntary, rhythmic, oscillatory movements, usually limited to the upper limbs. It is absent at rest but occurs when the limb is held in a fixed posture or position against gravity and during active movement. Propranolol causes a reduction in the tremor amplitude but not in the tremor frequency. Propranolol is not indicated for the treatment of tremor associated with Parkinsonism. Hypertrophic Subaortic Stenosis. Propranolol improves NYHA functional class in symptomatic patients with hypertrophic subaortic stenosis. Pheochromocytoma. Propranolol is indicated as an adjunct to alpha-adrenergic blockade to control blood pressure and reduce symptoms of catecholamine-secreting tumors.",
"Description": "Propranolol hydrochloride is a synthetic beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent chemically described as (±)-1-(Isopropylamino)-3-(1-naphthyloxy)-2- propanol hydrochloride. Its structural formula is. Propranolol hydrochloride is a stable, white crystalline solid which is readily soluble in water and ethanol. Propranolol hydrochloride is available as 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg tablets for oral administration. Propranolol Hydrochloride Tablets USP 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, and 80 mg contain the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, D&C Yellow No. 10, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and stearic acid. Propranolol Hydrochloride Tablets USP 10 mg and 80 mg also contain FD&C Yellow No. 6. Propranolol Hydrochloride Tablets USP 20 mg and 40 mg also contain FD&C Blue No. 1."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Ranolazine extended-release tablets are indicated for the treatment of chronic angina. Ranolazine extended-release tablets may be used with beta-blockers, nitrates, calcium channel blockers, anti-platelet therapy, lipid-lowering therapy, ACE inhibitors, and angiotensin receptor blockers.",
"Description": "Ranolazine extended-release tablets are available as a film-coated, non-scored, extended-release tablet for oral administration. Ranolazine is a racemic mixture, chemically described as (±)N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-[4-[2-hydroxy-3-(2-methoxyphenoxy)propyl]piperzin-1-yl]acetamide. It has an empirical formula of C 24H 33N 3O 4, a molecular weight of 427.55 g/mole, and the following structural formula:. Ranolazine is a white to off-white powder. Ranolazine is soluble in dichloromethane. Ranolazine extended-release tablets contain 500 mg or 1000 mg of ranolazine and the following inactive ingredients: hypromellose, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer (contains sodium lauryl sulfate and polysorbate 80), microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium hydroxide. In addition, the film coating contains the following inactive ingredients: FD&C blue #1, FD&C blue #2, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, talc and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Therapy with lipid-altering agents should be only one component of multiple risk factor intervention in individuals at significantly increased risk for atherosclerotic vascular disease due to hypercholesterolemia. Drug therapy is indicated as an adjunct to diet when the response to a diet restricted in saturated fat and cholesterol and other nonpharmacologic measures alone has been inadequate.",
"Description": "Pravastatin sodium, USP is one of a class of lipid-lowering compounds, the statins, which reduce cholesterol biosynthesis. These agents are competitive inhibitors of HMG-CoA reductase, the enzyme catalyzing the early rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis, conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonate. Pravastatin sodium, USP is designated chemically as 1-naphthaleneheptanoic acid, 1,2,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-β,δ,6-trihydroxy-2-methyl-8-(2-methyl-1-oxobutoxy)-, monosodium salt, [1 S-[1α (β S*,δ S*),2α,6α,8β( R*),8aα]]-. It has the following structural formula:. C 23H 35NaO 7 M.W. 446.52. Pravastatin sodium, USP is an odorless, white to off-white, fine or crystalline powder. It is a relatively polar hydrophilic compound with a partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.59 at a pH of 7.0. It is soluble in methanol and water (> 300 mg/mL), slightly soluble in isopropanol, and practically insoluble in acetone, acetonitrile, chloroform, and ether. Pravastatin sodium tablets USP are available for oral administration as 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, and 80 mg tablets. Inactive ingredients include: calcium phosphate dibasic, crospovidone, lactose anhydrous, microcrystalline cellulose, and povidone. Additionally, the 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg tablet contains croscarmellose sodium and sodium stearyl fumarate. Additionally, the 10 mg tablet contains ferric oxide red; the 20 mg tablet contains ferric oxide yellow; the 40 mg tablet contains FD&C Blue No. 1 Aluminum Lake and Yellow D&C No. 10; and the 80 mg tablet contains magnesium stearate."

"Description": "Morphine sulfate extended-release capsules, USP are an opioid analgesic supplied in 20 mg, 30 mg, 50 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg, and 100 mg strengths for oral administration. Chemically, morphine sulfate is 7,8-didehydro 4,5 α- epoxy-17-methyl-morphinan-3,6 α- diol sulfate (2:1) (salt) pentahydrate and has the following structural formula. Morphine sulfate is an odorless, white, crystalline powder with a bitter taste and a molecular weight of 758 (as the sulfate). It has a solubility of 1 in 21 parts of water and 1 in 1000 parts of alcohol, but is practically insoluble in chloroform or ether. The octanol: water partition coefficient of morphine is 1.42 at physiologic pH and the pKb is 7.9 for the tertiary nitrogen (mostly ionized at pH 7.4). Each morphine sulfate extended-release capsule contains either 20 mg, 30 mg, 50 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg or 100 mg of Morphine Sulfate USP and the following inactive ingredients common to all strengths: corn starch, diethyl phthalate, ethylcellulose, hypromellose 2910, methacrylic acid copolymer, polyethylene glycol 6000, sucrose, povidone K-30, and talc. The capsule shells contain black iron oxide, gelatin, propylene glycol and titanium dioxide. Lansoprazole is stable when exposed to light for up to two months. The rate of degradation of the compound in aqueous solution increases with decreasing pH. The degradation half-life of the drug substance in aqueous solution at 25°C is approximately 0.5 hour at pH 5.0 and approximately 18 hours at pH 7.0. Lansoprazole, USP is a white to brownish-white powder which melts with decomposition at approximately 166°C. Lansoprazole is freely soluble in dimethylformamide and practically insoluble in water. Lansoprazole is stable when exposed to light for up to two months. The rate of degradation of the compound in aqueous solution increases with decreasing pH. The degradation half-life of the drug substance in aqueous solution at 25°C is approximately 0.5 hour at pH 5.0 and approximately 18 hours at pH 7.0. "Description": "The active ingredient in lansoprazole delayed-release capsule, USP is lansoprazole, a substituted benzimidazole, 2-[[[3-methyl-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-2-pyridyl] methyl] sulfinyl] benzimidazole, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its molecular formula is C16H14F3N3O2S with a molecular weight of 369.37. Lansoprazole has the following structure. Lansoprazole, USP is a white to brownish-white powder which melts with decomposition at approximately 166°C. Lansoprazole is freely soluble in dimethylformamide and practically insoluble in water. Lansoprazole is stable when exposed to light for up to two months. The rate of degradation of the compound in aqueous solution increases with decreasing pH. The degradation half-life of the drug substance in aqueous solution at 25°C is approximately 0.5 hour at pH 5.0 and approximately 18 hours at pH 7.0. Lansoprazole is supplied in delayed-release capsules for oral administration.
