"IndicationAndUsage": "TRIKAFTA is indicated for the treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF) in adult and pediatric patients aged 2 years and older who have a clinical diagnosis of CF and who have at least one variant in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene that is either responsive based on clinical and/or in vitro data (see Table 6) or results in production of CFTR protein [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.1)]. If the patient's genotype is unknown, an FDA-cleared CF genetic test should be used to confirm the presence of at least one variant in the CFTR gene that is either responsive based on clinical and/or in vitro data or results in production of CFTR protein.",

<IndicationAndUsage>TRIKAFTA is indicated for the treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF) in adult and pediatric patients aged 2 years and older who have a clinical diagnosis of CF and who have at least one variant in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene that is either responsive based on clinical and/or in vitro data (see Table 6) or results in production of CFTR protein [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.1)]. If the patient's genotype is unknown, an FDA-cleared CF genetic test should be used to confirm the presence of at least one variant in the CFTR gene that is either responsive based on clinical and/or in vitro data or results in production of CFTR protein.</IndicationAndUsage>

<IndicationAndUsage>Therapy with lipid-altering agents should be only one component of multiple risk factor intervention in individuals at significantly increased risk for atherosclerotic vascular disease due to hypercholesterolemia. Drug therapy is indicated as an adjunct to diet when the response to a diet restricted in saturated fat and cholesterol and other nonpharmacologic measures alone has been inadequate.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Pravastatin sodium tablets USP are one of a class of lipid-lowering compounds, the statins, which reduce cholesterol biosynthesis. These agents are competitive inhibitors of HMG-CoA reductase, the enzyme catalyzing the early rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis, conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonate. Pravastatin sodium is designated chemically as 1-Naphthalene-heptanoic acid, 1,2,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-β,δ,6-trihydroxy-2-methyl-8-(2-methyl-1-oxobutoxy)-, monosodium salt, [1 S-[1α (β S*,δ S*),2α,6α,8β( R*),8aα]]-. Structural formula. C 23H 35NaO 7 MW 446.52. Pravastatin sodium is an odorless, white to yellowish-white powder or crystalline powder. It is a relatively polar hydrophilic compound with a partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.59 at a pH of 7.0. It is soluble in methanol and water (> 300 mg/mL), slightly soluble in isopropanol, and practically insoluble in acetone, acetonitrile, chloroform, and ether. Pravastatin sodium tablets USP are available for oral administration as 20 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg tablets. Inactive ingredients include: magnesium oxide, anhydrous dibasic calcium phosphate, lactose monohydrate, cellulose powder, yellow ferric oxide, hypromellose, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.</Description>

Pravastatin sodium is designated chemically as 1-Naphthalene-heptanoic acid, 1,2,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-β,δ,6-trihydroxy-2-methyl-8-(2-methyl-1-oxobutoxy)-, monosodium salt, [1 S-[1α (β S*,δ S*),2α,6α,8β( R*),8aα]]-. Structural formula. C 23H 35NaO 7 MW 446.52. Pravastatin sodium is an odorless, white to yellowish-white powder or crystalline powder. It is a relatively polar hydrophilic compound with a partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.59 at a pH of 7.0. It is soluble in methanol and water (> 300 mg/mL), slightly soluble in isopropanol, and practically insoluble in acetone, acetonitrile, chloroform, and ether. Pravastatin sodium tablets USP are available for oral administration as 20 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg tablets. Inactive ingredients include: magnesium oxide, anhydrous dibasic calcium phosphate, lactose monohydrate, cellulose powder, yellow ferric oxide, hypromellose, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.</Description>
