"IndicationAndUsage": "Extended phenytoin sodium capsules are indicated for the treatment of tonic-clonic (grand mal) and psychomotor (temporal lobe) seizures and prevention and treatment of seizures occurring during or following neurosurgery.",
"Description": "Phenytoin sodium is related to the barbiturates in chemical structure, but has a five-membered ring. The chemical name is 5,5- Diphenylhydantoin sodium salt, having the following structural formula. Each extended phenytoin sodium capsule, USP, for oral administration contains 200 mg or 300 mg of phenytoin sodium, USP. Each capsule also contains the following inactive ingredients: magnesium stearate, lactitol monohydrate, sodium lauryl sulfate, and talc. In addition, each of the empty gelatin capsule contains the following: gelatin, FD&C Blue # 1, FD&C Red # 40, D&C Red # 28 (200 mg) and FD&C Red # 3 (200 mg). The imprinting ink contains shellac, dehydrated alcohol, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution, black iron oxide and potassium hydroxide. Product in vivo performance is characterized by a slow and extended rate of absorption with peak blood concentrations expected in 4 to 12 hours as contrasted to prompt phenytoin sodium capsules, USP, with a rapid rate of absorption with peak blood concentration expected in 1½ to 3 hours. Extended phenytoin sodium capsules, USP 200 mg and 300 mg meet USP Dissolution Test 3."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pantoprazole sodium for delayed-release oral suspension is indicated for.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in pantoprazole sodium for delayed-release oral suspension a PPI, is a substituted benzimidazole, sodium 5-(difluoromethoxy)-2-[[(3,4-dimethoxy-2-pyridinyl)methyl] sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole sesquihydrate, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its empirical formula is C16H14F2N3NaO4S x 1.5 H2O, with a molecular weight of 432.4. The structural formula is. Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate is a white to off-white powder. Pantoprazole has weakly basic and acidic properties. Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate is freely soluble in water, in methanol, in dehydrated alcohol, practically insoluble in hexane and in dichloromethane. The stability of the compound in aqueous solution is pH-dependent. The rate of degradation increases with decreasing pH. At ambient temperature, the degradation half-life is approximately 2.8 hours at pH 5 and approximately 220 hours at pH 7.8. Pantoprazole sodium for delayed-release oral suspension is supplied as a for delayed-release oral suspension in unit dose packets, available in one strength 40 mg pantoprazole, (equivalent to 45.1 mg of pantoprazole sodium). Pantoprazole sodium for delayed-release oral suspension contains the following inactive ingredients: crospovidone, hypromellose, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion, microcrystalline cellulose, polysorbate 80, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate, polyethylene glycol and yellow ferric oxide."

"Description": "The active ingredient in pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets, USP a PPI, is a substituted benzimidazole, sodium 5-(difluoromethoxy)-2-[[(3,4-dimethoxy-2-pyridinyl)methyl]sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole sesquihydrate, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its molecular formula is C16H14F2N3NaO4S x 1.5 H2O, with a molecular weight of 432.4. The structural formula is:. Pantoprazole sodium USP is a white to off-white powder and is racemic. The tablets are imprinted with brown ink containing ammonium hydroxide, iron oxide black, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, isopropyl alcohol, N-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, and shellac glaze in ethanol. Pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets (40 mg and 20 mg) complies USP dissolution test 3."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to beta-blockers (failed to achieve target IOP determined after multiple measurements over time). The IOP-lowering of dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution administered twice a day was slightly less than that seen with the concomitant administration of 0.5% timolol administered twice a day and 2% dorzolamide administered three times a day [see Clinical Studies (14)].",
"Description": "Dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution, USP is the combination of a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor and a topical beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. Dorzolamide hydrochloride USP is described chemically as: (4 S-trans)-4-(ethylamino)-5,6-dihydro-6- methyl-4 H-thieno[2,3- b]thiopyran-2-sulfonamide 7,7-dioxide monohydrochloride. Dorzolamide hydrochloride is optically active. The specific rotation is:. [α] 25°C (C=1, water) = ~ -17°. 405nm. Its molecular formula is C 10H 16N 2O 4S 3HCl and its structural formula is:. Dorzolamide hydrochloride USP has a molecular weight of 360.91. It is a white to off-white, crystalline powder, which is soluble in water and slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol. Timolol maleate USP is described chemically as: (-)-1-( tert-butylamino)-3-[(4-morpholino-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)oxy]-2-propanol maleate (1:1) (salt). Timolol maleate possesses an asymmetric carbon atom in its structure and is provided as the levo-isomer. The optical rotation of timolol maleate is:. [α] 25° C in 1N HCl (C = 5) = -12.2° (-11.7° to -12.5°). 405 nm. Its molecular formula is C 13H 24N 4O 3SC 4H 4O 4 and its structural formula is:. Timolol maleate USP has a molecular weight of 432.50. It is a white, odorless, crystalline powder which is soluble in water, methanol, and alcohol. Timolol maleate is stable at room temperature. Dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution, USP is supplied as a sterile, isotonic, buffered, clear, colorless to nearly colorless and slightly viscous solution. The pH of the solution is approximately 5.65, and the osmolarity is 242 to 323 mOsM. Each mL of dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution, USP contains 20 mg dorzolamide (22.26 mg of dorzolamide hydrochloride USP) and 5 mg timolol (6.83 mg timolol maleate USP). Inactive ingredients are Mannitol, Hydroxyethyl cellulose, Sodium hydroxide, Tri Sodium citrate Dihydrate, and water for injection. Benzalkonium chloride 0.0075% is added as a preservative."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Dexrazoxane for injection is indicated for reducing the incidence and severity of cardiomyopathy associated with doxorubicin administration in women with metastatic breast cancer who have received a cumulative doxorubicin dose of 300 mg/m2 and who will continue to receive doxorubicin therapy to maintain tumor control. Do not use with the initiation of doxorubicin therapy [see Warnings and Precautions (5.2)].",
"Description": "Dexrazoxane for injection, a cardioprotective agent for use in conjunction with doxorubicin, is a sterile, pyrogen-free lyophilizate intended for intravenous administration. Chemically, dexrazoxane is (S)-4,4’-(1-methyl-1,2-ethanediyl)bis-2,6- piperazinedione. The structural formula is as follows. Dexrazoxane, an intracellular chelating agent, is a derivative of EDTA. Dexrazoxane for injection is a white to off-white or pale pink lyophilized powder or cake that melts at 191° to 197°C. It is sparingly soluble in water and 0.1 N HCl, slightly soluble in ethanol and methanol, and practically insoluble in nonpolar organic solvents. The pKa is 2.1. Dexrazoxane has an octanol/water partition coefficient of 0.025 and degrades rapidly above a pH of 7.0. Each 250 mg vial contains dexrazoxane hydrochloride equivalent to 250 mg dexrazoxane. Hydrochloric Acid, NF is added for pH adjustment. When reconstituted as directed with the 25 mL vial of 0.167 Molar (M/6) Sodium Lactate Injection, USP diluent provided, each mL contains: 10 mg dexrazoxane. The pH of the resultant solution is 3.5 to 5.5."

Brimonidine Tartrate, USP. Structural formula. Chemical name: 5-bromo-6-(2-imidazoline-2yl-amino)-quinoxalinetartrate. Molecular formula: C11H10BrN5.C4H6O6. Molecular weight: 442.22 g/mol. Timolol Maleate, USP. Structural formula. Chemical name: (S)-1-tert-butylamino-3-(4-morpholino-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yloxy)-propanol-2-ol hydrogen maleate (1:1). Molecular formula: C17H28N4O7S. Molecular weight: 432.5 g/mol as the maleate salt. In solution, brimonidine tartrate and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution, 0.2%/0.5% has a clear, greenish-yellow color. It has an osmolality of 260 mOsmol/kg to 330 mOsmol/kg and a pH during its shelf life between 6.5 to 7.3. Brimonidine tartrate, USP appears as a pale yellow colored powder to wheatish colored powder and is soluble in both water (1.5 mg/mL) and in the product vehicle (3 mg/mL) at pH 7.2, practically insoluble in anhydrous ethanol and in toluene. Timolol maleate, USP appears as a white or almost white, crystalline powder and is soluble in water, sparingly soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform and practically insoluble in ether. Each mL of Brimonidine tartrate and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution 0.2%/0.5% contains. Actives. Brimonidine tartrate USP, 0.2% (2 mg) and timolol, 0.5% (5 mg) equivalent to timolol maleate USP, 0.68% (6.8 mg). Preservative. Benzalkonium chloride, 0.005%. Inactives. Sodium phosphate, monobasic monohydrate; sodium phosphate, dibasic heptahydrate; water for injection; and hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to betablockers (failed to achieve target IOP determined after multiple measurements over time). The IOP-lowering of dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution administered twice a day was slightly less than that seen with the concomitant administration of 0.5% timolol administered twice a day and 2% dorzolamide administered three times a day [see Clinical Studies (14)] .",
"Description": "Dorzolamide Hydrochloride and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution is the combination of a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor and a topical beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. Dorzolamide hydrochloride is described chemically as: (4 S- trans)-4-(ethylamino)-5,6-dihydro-6-methyl-4 H-thieno[2,3- b]thiopyran-2- sulfonamide 7,7-dioxide monohydrochloride. Dorzolamide hydrochloride is optically active. The specific rotation is:. Its empirical formula is C 10H 16N 2O 4S 3HCl and its structural formula is:. Dorzolamide hydrochloride has a molecular weight of 360.91. It is a white to off-white, crystalline powder, which is soluble in water and slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol. Timolol maleate is described chemically as: (-)-1-(tert-butylamino)-3-[(4- morpholino-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)oxy]-2-propanol maleate (1:1) (salt). Timolol maleate possesses an asymmetric carbon atom in its structure and is provided as the levo-isomer. The optical rotation of timolol maleate is. Its molecular formula is C 13H 24N 4O 3SC 4H 4O 4 and its structural formula is:. Timolol maleate has a molecular weight of 432.50. It is a white, odorless, crystalline powder which is soluble in water, methanol, and alcohol. Timolol maleate is stable at room temperature. Dorzolamide Hydrochloride and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution is supplied as a sterile, clear, colorless to nearly colorless, isotonic, buffered, slightly viscous, aqueous solution. The pH of the solution is approximately 5.65, and the osmolarity is 242-323 mOsM. Each mL of Dorzolamide Hydrochloride and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution contains 20 mg dorzolamide (22.26 mg of dorzolamide hydrochloride) and 5 mg timolol (6.83 mg timolol maleate). Inactive ingredients are sodium citrate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, sodium hydroxide, mannitol, and purified water. Benzalkonium chloride 0.0075% is added as a preservative."

"Description": "The active ingredient in pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets, USP a PPI, is a substituted benzimidazole, sodium 5-(difluoromethoxy)-2-[[(3,4-dimethoxy-2-pyridinyl)methyl]sulfinyl]‑-1 H-benzimidazole sesquihydrate, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its molecular formula is C 16H 14F 2N 3NaO 4S x 1.5 H 2O, with a molecular weight of 432.4. The structural formula is:. Pantoprazole sodium USP is a white to off-white powder and is racemic. Pantoprazole has weakly basic and acidic properties. Pantoprazole sodium USP is freely soluble in water, very slightly soluble in phosphate buffer at pH 7.4, and practically insoluble in n-hexane. The stability of the compound in aqueous solution is pH-dependent. The rate of degradation increases with decreasing pH. At ambient temperature, the degradation half-life is approximately 2.8 hours at pH 5 and approximately 220 hours at pH 7.8. Pantoprazole sodium USP is supplied as a delayed-release tablet, available in two strengths 20 mg pantoprazole (equivalent to 22.56 mg of pantoprazole sodium USP) and 40 mg pantoprazole (equivalent to 45.1 mg of pantoprazole sodium USP). Pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets, USP contains the following inactive ingredients: calcium stearate, crospovidone, ferric oxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, mannitol, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion, sodium carbonate, and triethyl citrate. The tablets are imprinted with brown ink containing ammonium hydroxide, iron oxide black, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, isopropyl alcohol, N-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, and shellac glaze in ethanol. Pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets (40 mg and 20 mg) complies USP dissolution test 3."
