Paliperidone, USP contains a racemic mixture of (+)- and (-)- paliperidone. The chemical name is (±)-3-[2-[4-(6-fluoro-1,2-benzisoxazol-3-yl)-1-piperidinyl]ethyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-9-hydroxy-2-methyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one. Its molecular formula is C23H27FN4O3 and its molecular weight is 426.49. The structural formula is. Paliperidone, USP is sparingly soluble in 0.1N HCl and methylene chloride; practically insoluble in water, 0.1N NaOH, and hexane; and slightly soluble in N,N-dimethylformamide. Paliperidone extended-release tablets are intended for oral administration and are available in 1.5 mg (brown), 3 mg (white), 6 mg (light beige), and 9 mg (pink) strengths. Inactive ingredients are colloidal silicon dioxide, fumaric acid, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid copolymer, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene oxides, povidone, talc and triethyl citrate. The 1.5 mg tablets also contain iron oxide black, iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow. The 6 mg tablets also contain iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow. The 9 mg tablets also contain iron oxide black, iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow. Delivery System Components and Performance. Paliperidone extended-release tablets use a hydrophilic matrix core and pH dependent enteric coating to deliver paliperidone, USP at a controlled rate. The delivery system consists of an inner core composed of the drug, rate controlling polymers and other excipients. The core is coated with multiple layers comprising of delayed release polymer and a drug layering polymer system. Each tablet strength has a different colored coating. In an aqueous environment, such as the gastrointestinal tract, the water-dispersible overcoat erodes quickly. The combination of the coating layers ensures an initial drug release, while delaying exposure of the matrix core. Upon attaining the intended pH, the delayed release coating dissolves, the hydrophilic polymers of the core hydrate and swell forming a gel like barrier that regulates the rate at which the drug is released from the tablet, ensuring a steady and prolonged delivery."

Conray may also be used for enhancement of computed tomographic scans performed for detection and evaluation of lesions in the liver, pancreas, kidneys, abdominal aorta, mediastinum, abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space. Continuous or multiple scans separated by intervals of 1 to 3 seconds during the first 30 to 90 seconds post-injection of the contrast medium (dynamic CT scanning) may provide enhancement of diagnostic significance, and may be of benefit in establishing diagnoses of certain lesions in these sites with greater assurance than is possible with CT alone, and in supplying additional features of the lesions. In other cases, the contrast agent may allow visualization of lesions not seen with CT alone, or may help to define suspicious lesions seen with unenhanced CT (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). Subsets of patients in whom delayed body CT scans might be helpful have not been identified. Inconsistent results have been reported and abnormal and normal tissues may be isodense during the time frame used for delayed CT scanning. The risks of such indiscriminate use of contrast media are well known and such use is not recommended. At present, consistent results have been documented using dynamic CT techniques only.",
"Description": "Conray is a sterile aqueous solution intended for use as a diagnostic radiopaque medium.
Conray contains 60% w/v iothalamate meglumine, which is 1-deoxy-1-(methylamino)-D-glucitol 5-acetamido-2,4,6 triiodo-N-methylisophthalamate (salt), and has the following structural formula:. Each milliliter contains 600 mg of iothalamate meglumine, 0.09 mg edetate calcium disodium as a stabilizer and 0.125 mg of monobasic sodium phosphate as a buffer. The solution provides 28.2% (282 mg/mL) organically bound iodine. Conray has an osmolarity of approximately 1000 mOsmol per liter, an osmolality of approximately 1400 mOsmol per kilogram and is, therefore, hypertonic under conditions of use. The viscosity (cps) is approximately 6 at 25°C and 4 at 37°C. The pH is 6.5 to 7.7. Conray is a clear solution containing no undissolved solids. Crystallization does not occur at normal room temperatures. It is supplied in containers from which the air has been displaced by nitrogen."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium is indicated in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated organisms in the conditions listed below. Lower Respiratory Tract Infections − caused by β-lactamase−producing strains of H. influenzae and M. catarrhalis. Otitis Media − caused by β-lactamase−producing strains of H. influenzae and M. catarrhalis. Sinusitis − caused by β-lactamase−producing strains of H. influenzae and M. catarrhalis. Skin and Skin Structure Infections − caused by β-lactamase−producing strains of S. aureus, E. coli, and Klebsiella spp. Urinary Tract Infections − caused by β-lactamase−producing strains of E. coli, Klebsiella spp. and Enterobacter spp. While Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium is indicated only for the conditions listed above, infections caused by ampicillin-susceptible organisms are also amenable to treatment with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium due to its amoxicillin content. Therefore, mixed infections caused by ampicillin-susceptible organisms and β-lactamase−producing organisms susceptible to Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium should not require the addition of another antibiotic. Because amoxicillin has greater in vitro activity against S. pneumoniae than does ampicillin or penicillin, the majority of S. pneumoniae strains with intermediate susceptibility to ampicillin or penicillin are fully susceptible to amoxicillin and Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium. (See Microbiology.). To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium and other antibacterial drugs, Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy. Bacteriological studies, to determine the causative organisms and their susceptibility to Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium, should be performed together with any indicated surgical procedures.",
"Description": "Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium is an oral antibacterial combination consisting of the semisynthetic antibiotic amoxicillin and the β-lactamase inhibitor, clavulanate potassium (the potassium salt of clavulanic acid). Amoxicillin is an analog of ampicillin, derived from the basic penicillin nucleus, 6-aminopenicillanic acid. The amoxicillin molecular formula is C16H19N3O5S3H2O, and the molecular weight is 419.46. Chemically, amoxicillin is (2S,5R,6R )-6-[(R)-(-)-2-Amino-2-(p-hydroxyphenyl)acetamido]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid trihydrate and may be represented structurally as. Clavulanic acid is produced by the fermentation of Streptomyces clavuligerus. It is a β-lactam structurally related to the penicillins and possesses the ability to inactivate a wide variety of β-lactamases by blocking the active sites of these enzymes. Clavulanic acid is particularly active against the clinically important plasmid-mediated β-lactamases frequently responsible for transferred drug resistance to penicillins and cephalosporins. The clavulanate potassium molecular formula is C8H8KNO5, and the molecular weight is 237.25. Chemically, clavulanate potassium is potassium (Z)-(2R,5R )-3-(2-hydroxyethylidene)-7-oxo-4-oxa-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]-heptane-2-carboxylate and may be represented structurally as."

Paliperidone extended-release tablets contains paliperidone USP, an atypical antipsychotic belonging to the chemical class of benzisoxazole derivatives. Upon attaining the intended pH, the delayed release coating dissolves, the hydrophilic polymers of the core hydrate and swell forming a gel like barrier that regulates the rate at which the drug is released from the tablet, ensuring a steady and prolonged delivery.

<IndicationAndUsage>Conray is indicated for use in excretory urography, cerebral angiography, peripheral arteriography, venography, arthrography, direct cholangiography, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, contrast enhancement of computed tomographic brain images, cranial computerized angiotomography, intravenous digital subtraction angiography and arterial digital subtraction angiography. At present, consistent results have been documented using dynamic CT techniques only.</IndicationAndUsage>

Conray is a sterile aqueous solution intended for use as a diagnostic radiopaque medium. It is supplied in containers from which the air has been displaced by nitrogen.

Bacteriological studies, to determine the causative organisms and their susceptibility to Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium, should be performed together with any indicated surgical procedures.</IndicationAndUsage>

Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium is an oral antibacterial combination consisting of the semisynthetic antibiotic amoxicillin and the β-lactamase inhibitor, clavulanate potassium (the potassium salt of clavulanic acid). Chemically, clavulanate potassium is potassium (Z)-(2R,5R )-3-(2-hydroxyethylidene)-7-oxo-4-oxa-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]-heptane-2-carboxylate and may be represented structurally as.
