"IndicationAndUsage": "Methocarbamol is indicated as an adjunct to rest, physical therapy, and other measures for the relief of discomfort associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. The mode of action of methocarbamol has not been clearly identified, but may be related to its sedative properties. Methocarbamol does not directly relax tense skeletal muscles in man.",
"Description": "Methocarbamol Tablets, USP, 500 mg, a carbamate derivative of guaifenesin, is a central nervous system (CNS) depressant with sedative and musculoskeletal relaxant properties. The chemical name of methocarbamol is 3-(2-methoxyphenoxy)-1, 2-propanediol 1-carbamate and has the empirical formula C 11H 15NO 5. Its molecular weight is 241.24. The structural formula is shown below. Methocarbamol is a white powder, sparingly soluble in water and chloroform, soluble in alcohol (only with heating) and propylene glycol, and insoluble in benzene and n-hexane. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains either 500 mg of methocarbamol, USP. The inactive ingredients present are colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, povidone, pregelatinized corn starch, purified water, sodium starch glycolate, and stearic acid."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Ondansetron oral solution is indicated for the prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with: 1 highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including cisplatin greater than or equal to 50 mg/m2, 2 initial and repeat courses of moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy , 3 radiotherapy in patients receiving either total body irradiation, single high-dose fraction to the abdomen, or daily fractions to the abdomen.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in ondansetron oral solution, USP is ondansetron hydrochloride (HCl) as the dihydrate, the racemic form of ondansetron and a selective blocking agent of the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor type. Chemically it is (±) 1, 2, 3, 9-tetrahydro-9-methyl-3-[(2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl) methyl]-4H-carbazol-4-one, monohydrochloride, dihydrate. It has the following structural formula:. The empirical formula is C18H19N3OHCl2H2O, representing a molecular weight of 365.9 g/mol. Ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate is a white to off-white powder that is soluble in water and normal saline. Each 5 mL of ondansetron oral solution, USP, contains 5 mg of ondansetron HCl dihydrate equivalent to 4 mg of ondansetron. Ondansetron oral solution, USP, contains the inactive ingredients anhydrous citric acid, fructose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate dihydrate, and strawberry flavor."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Dorzolamide hydrochloride ophthalmic solution is indicated in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.",
"Description": "Dorzolamide hydrochloride ophthalmic solution, USP is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor formulated for topical ophthalmic use. Dorzolamide hydrochloride USP is described chemically as: (4 S-trans)-4-(ethylamino)-5,6-dihydro-6-methyl-4 H-thieno[2,3- b]thiopyran-2-sulfonamide 7,7-dioxide monohydrochloride. Dorzolamide hydrochloride is optically active. The specific rotation is. α 25° (C=1, water) = ~ -17°. 405. Its molecular formula is C 10H 16N 2O 4S 3HCl and its structural formula is:. Dorzolamide hydrochloride USP has a molecular weight of 360.9 and a melting point of about 264°C. It is a white to off-white, crystalline powder, which is soluble in water and slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol. Dorzolamide hydrochloride ophthalmic solution USP is supplied as a sterile, isotonic, buffered, clear, colorless to nearly colorless and slightly viscous solution. The pH of the solution is approximately 5.6, and the osmolarity is 260 to 330 mOsM. Each mL of dorzolamide hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 2% contains 20 mg dorzolamide (22.3 mg of dorzolamide hydrochloride USP). Inactive ingredients are Mannitol, Hydroxyethyl cellulose, Sodium hydroxide, Tri Sodium citrate dihydrate, and water for injection. Benzalkonium chloride 0.0075% is added as a preservative."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Lorazepam tablets USP are indicated for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety or anxiety associated with depressive symptoms. Anxiety or tension associated with the stress of everyday life usually does not require treatment with an anxiolytic. The effectiveness of lorazepam tablets USP in long-term use, that is, more than 4 months, has not been assessed by systematic clinical studies. The physician should periodically reassess the usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",

It is a nearly white powder almost insoluble in water. Each lorazepam tablet USP, to be taken orally, contains 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg of lorazepam USP.
