"IndicationAndUsage": "When oral therapy is not feasible, and the strength, dosage form, and route of administration of the drug reasonably lend the preparation to the treatment of the condition, the intravenous or intramuscular use of SOLU-MEDROL Sterile Powder is indicated as follows. Allergic states: Control of severe or incapacitating allergic conditions intractable to adequate trials of conventional treatment in asthma, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, drug hypersensitivity reactions, serum sickness, transfusion reactions. Dermatologic diseases: Bullous dermatitis herpetiformis, exfoliative erythroderma, mycosis fungoides, pemphigus, severe erythema multiforme (Stevens-Johnson syndrome). Endocrine disorders: Primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the drug of choice; synthetic analogs may be used in conjunction with mineralocorticoids where applicable; in infancy, mineralocorticoid supplementation is of particular importance), congenital adrenal hyperplasia, hypercalcemia associated with cancer, nonsuppurative thyroiditis. Gastrointestinal diseases: To tide the patient over a critical period of the disease in regional enteritis (systemic therapy) and ulcerative colitis. Hematologic disorders: Acquired (autoimmune) hemolytic anemia, congenital (erythroid) hypoplastic anemia (Diamond-Blackfan anemia), idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in adults (intravenous administration only; intramuscular administration is contraindicated), pure red cell aplasia, selected cases of secondary thrombocytopenia. Miscellaneous: Trichinosis with neurologic or myocardial involvement, tuberculous meningitis with subarachnoid block or impending block when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy. Neoplastic diseases: For the palliative management of leukemias and lymphomas. Nervous System: Acute exacerbations of multiple sclerosis; cerebral edema associated with primary or metastatic brain tumor, or craniotomy. Ophthalmic diseases: Sympathetic ophthalmia, uveitis and ocular inflammatory conditions unresponsive to topical corticosteroids. Renal diseases: To induce diuresis or remission of proteinuria in idiopathic nephrotic syndrome or that due to lupus erythematosus. Respiratory diseases: Berylliosis, fulminating or disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy, idiopathic eosinophilic pneumonias, symptomatic sarcoidosis. Rheumatic disorders: As adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in acute gouty arthritis; acute rheumatic carditis; ankylosing spondylitis; psoriatic arthritis; rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (selected cases may require low-dose maintenance therapy). For the treatment of dermatomyositis, temporal arteritis, polymyositis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.",
"Description": "SOLU-MEDROL Sterile Powder is an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid, which contains methylprednisolone sodium succinate as the active ingredient. Methylprednisolone sodium succinate, USP, is the sodium succinate ester of methylprednisolone, and it occurs as a white, or nearly white, odorless hygroscopic, amorphous solid. It is very soluble in water and in alcohol; it is insoluble in chloroform and is very slightly soluble in acetone. The chemical name for methylprednisolone sodium succinate is pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione,21-(3-carboxy-1-oxopropoxy)-11,17-dihydroxy-6-methyl-monosodium salt, (6α, 11β), and the molecular weight is 496.53. The structural formula is represented below. Methylprednisolone sodium succinate is soluble in water; it may be administered in a small volume of diluent and is well suited for intravenous use in situations where high blood levels of methylprednisolone are required rapidly. SOLU-MEDROL is available in preservative and preservative-free formulations. When necessary, the pH of each formula was adjusted with sodium hydroxide so that the pH of the reconstituted solution is within the USP specified range of 7 to 8."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Griseofulvin is indicated for the treatment of dermatophyte infections of the skin not adequately treated by topical therapy, hair and nails, namely: Tinea corporis Tinea pedis Tinea cruris Tinea barbae Tinea capitis. Tinea unguium when caused by one or more of the following species of fungi. Epidermophyton floccosum Microsporum audouinii Microsporum canis Microsporum gypseum Trichophyton crateriform Trichophyton gallinae Trichophyton interdigitalis Trichophyton megnini Trichophyton mentagrophytes Trichophyton rubrum Trichophyton schoenleini Trichophyton sulphureum Trichophyton tonsurans Trichophyton verrucosum. Note: Prior to therapy, a dermatophyte should be identified as responsible for the infection. Prior to initiating treatment, appropriate specimens for laboratory testing (KOH preparation, fungal culture, or nail biopsy) should be obtained to confirm the diagnosis. Griseofulvin is not effective in the following. Bacterial infections Coccidioidomycosis Candidiasis (Moniliasis) North American Blastomycosis Histoplasmosis Cryptococcosis (Torulosis) Actinomycosis Tinea versicolor Sporotrichosis Nocardiosis Chromoblastomycosis The use of this drug is not justified in minor or trivial dermatophyte infections which will respond to topical agents alone.",
"Description": "Griseofulvin microsize contains griseofulvin microsize for oral administration. The active ingredient, griseofulvin, is a fungistatic antibiotic, derived from a species of Penicillium. The chemical name of griseofulvin is 7-chloro-2', 4,6-trimethoxy-6'β-methylspiro[benzofuran-2(3H), 1'-[2]cyclohexane]-3-4'-dione. Its structural formula is:. Griseofulvin occurs as a white to creamy white, bitter tasting powder which is very slightly soluble in water and sparingly soluble in alcohol. Griseofulvin microsize contains particles of approximately 2 to 4 µm in diameter. Griseofulvin Oral Suspension, USP is orange in color with orange flavor. Each 5 mL of Griseofulvin Oral Suspension, USP contains 125 mg of griseofulvin microsize and also contains alcohol 0.2%, docusate sodium, FD&C Red No. 40, FD&C Yellow No. 6, magnesium aluminum silicate, menthol, methylparaben, orange flavor, propylene glycol, propylparaben, purified water, saccharin sodium, simethicone emulsion (silicon dioxide, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, and sorbic acid), sodium alginate, and sucrose. Griseofulvin Oral Suspension, USP may contain dibasic sodium phosphate or potassium phosphate monobasic for pH adjustment."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Chloroquine phosphate tablets are indicated for the: 1 Treatment of uncomplicated malaria due to susceptible strains of P. falciparum, P.malariae, P. ovale,and P.vivax. , 2 Prophylaxis of malaria in geographic areas where resistance to chloroquine is not present., 3 Treatment of extraintestinal amebiasis.",
"Description": "Chloroquine phosphate tablet, USP, is a 4-aminoquinoline compound for oral administration. It is a white, odorless, bitter tasting, crystalline substance, freely soluble in water. Chloroquine phosphate tablet is an antimalarial and amebicidal drug. Chemically, it is 7-chloro-4-[[4-(diethylamino)-1-methylbutyl]amino]quinoline phosphate (1:2) and has the following structural formula. Each tablet contains 500 mg of chloroquine phosphate USP, equivalent to 300 mg chloroquine base."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual tablets are indicated for the maintenance treatment of opioid dependence. Buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual tablets should be used as part of a complete treatment plan to include counseling and psychosocial support.",
"Description": "Buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual tablets, USP 2 mg/0.5 mg are white to off white round flat beveled edge tablets debossed with ‘643’ on one side and plain on other side and buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual tablets, USP 8 mg/2 mg are white to off white round flat beveled edge tablets debossed with ‘644’ on one side and plain on other side. It contains buprenorphine hydrochloride, a partial agonist at the mu‐opioid receptor, and naloxone hydrochloride dihydrate, an opioid receptor antagonist, at a ratio of 4:1 (ratio of free bases). It is intended for sublingual administration and is available in two dosage strengths, 2 mg buprenorphine with 0.5 mg naloxone and 8 mg buprenorphine with 2 mg naloxone. Each sublingual tablet also contains lactose monohydrate, mannitol, butylated hydroxyanisole, pregelatinized starch, crospovidone, acesulfame potassium, citric acid anhydrous, sodium citrate, povidone, N-C lemon flavor and magnesium stearate. Chemically, buprenorphine hydrochloride, USP is 6,14-ethenomorphinan-7-methanol, 17- (cyclopropylmethyl)-alpha-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4,5-epoxy-18,19-dihydro-3-hydroxy-6-methoxy-alpha-methyl-, hydrochloride, (alphaS,5alpha,7alpha). It has the following chemical structure. Buprenorphine hydrochloride, USP has the molecular formula C29H41NO4.HCl and the molecular weight is 504.10. It is a white or almost white powder. Buprenorphine hydrochloride, USP is sparingly soluble in water, freely soluble in methanol, soluble in alcohol and practically insoluble in cyclohexane. Chemically, naloxone hydrochloride dehydrate, USP is (5R,9R,13S,14S)-17-Allyl- 3,14-dihydroxy-4,5-epoxymorphinan-6-on hydrochloride Dihydrate. It has the following chemical structure. Naloxone hydrochloride dehydrate, USP has the molecular formula C19H22ClNO4.2H2O and the molecular weight is 399.87 g/mol. It is a white or almost white powder. Naloxone hydrochloride dehydrate, USP is freely soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, and practically insoluble in toluene and ether."

"IndicationAndUsage": ": 1 Doxercalciferol Injection is indicated for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in adult patients with CKD on dialysis.",
"Description": "Doxercalciferol Injection contains doxercalciferol, which is a synthetic vitamin D2 analog. Doxercalciferol undergoes metabolic activation in vivo to form 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D2 (1α,25-(OH)2D2), a naturally occurring, biologically active form of vitamin D2. Doxercalciferol is a colorless crystalline compound with a calculated molecular weight of 412.66 and a molecular formula of C28H44O2. It is soluble in oils and organic solvents, but is relatively insoluble in water. Chemically, doxercalciferol is (1α,3β,5Z,7E,22E)-9,10-secoergosta-5,7,10(19),22-tetraene-1,3-diol. The structural formula is. Doxercalciferol Injection 2 mL single-dose vials contain 4 mcg/2 mL (2 mcg/mL) of doxercalciferol. Each milliliter (mL) of solution contains 2 mcg doxercalciferol and the following inactive ingredients: butylated hydroxytoluene (0.02 mg); disodium edetate (1.1 mg); ethanol (0.05 mL); polysorbate 20 (10 mg); sodium chloride (1.5 mg); sodium phosphate dibasic, heptahydrate (14.4 mg); and sodium phosphate monobasic, monohydrate (1.8 mg). Doxercalciferol Injection 2 mL multiple-dose vials contain 4 mcg/2 mL (2 mcg/mL) of doxercalciferol. "IndicationAndUsage": "Nicardipine hydrochloride in sodium chloride injection is a calcium channel blocker indicated for the short-term treatment of hypertension when oral therapy is not feasible. (1.1).",
"Description": "Nicardipine hydrochloride is a calcium ion influx inhibitor (slow channel blocker or calcium channel blocker). Nicardipine hydrochloride in sodium chloride injection for intravenous administration contains 20 mg (0.1 mg/mL) of nicardipine hydrochloride per 200 mL in sodium chloride or 40 mg (0.2 mg/mL) of nicardipine hydrochloride in sodium chloride per 200 mL in sodium chloride. Nicardipine hydrochloride is a dihydropyridine derivative with IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) chemical name (±)-2-(benzyl-methyl amino) ethyl methyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(m-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate monohydrochloride and has the following structure:. Nicardipine hydrochloride is a greenish-yellow, odorless, crystalline powder that melts at about 169ºC. It is freely soluble in chloroform, methanol, and glacial acetic acid, sparingly soluble in anhydrous ethanol, slightly soluble in n-butanol, water, 0.01 M potassium dihydrogen phosphate, acetone, and dioxane, very slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, and practically insoluble in benzene, ether, and hexane. It has a molecular weight of 515.99. Nicardipine hydrochloride in sodium chloride injection is available as a ready-to-use sterile, non-pyrogenic, clear, colorless to yellow, iso-osmotic solution for intravenous administration in a 200 mL Renolit Solmed Infuflex® container with 20 mg (0.1 mg/mL) or 40 mg (0.2 mg/mL) nicardipine hydrochloride in sodium chloride. Nicardipine Hydrochloride in 0.86% Sodium Chloride Injection. 20 mg in 200 mL (0.1 mg/mL). Each mL contains 0.1 mg nicardipine hydrochloride, 8.6 mg sodium chloride, USP, 0.0192 mg citric acid, anhydrous, USP, and 1.92 mg sorbitol, NF. Sodium hydroxide may have been added to adjust pH to 3.7 to 4.7. Nicardipine Hydrochloride in 0.83% Sodium Chloride Injection. 40 mg in 200 mL (0.2 mg/mL). Each mL contains 0.2 mg nicardipine hydrochloride, 8.3 mg sodium chloride, USP, 0.0384 mg citric acid, anhydrous, USP, and 3.84 mg sorbitol, NF. Sodium hydroxide may have been added to adjust pH to 3.7 to 4.7. The Renolit Solmed Infuflex® container is fabricated from multilayered plastic. Solutions are in contact with the polyethylene layer of the container and can leach out certain chemical components of the plastic in very small amounts within the expiration period. The suitability and safety of the plastic have been confirmed in tests in animals according to the USP biological tests for plastic containers, as well as by tissue culture toxicity studies."

Rosuvastatin calcium, USP is a white to almost white amorphous powder that is sparingly soluble in water and methanol, and slightly soluble in ethanol. Rosuvastatin calcium is a hydrophilic compound with a partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 1.4 at pH of 7.0. Rosuvastatin tablets, USP for oral use contain rosuvastatin 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg (equivalent to 5.2 mg, 10.4 mg, 20.8 mg, and 41.6 mg rosuvastatin calcium, USP) and the following inactive ingredients: Each tablet contains: crospovidone, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, red ferric oxide, triacetin and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "UZEDY is an atypical antipsychotic indicated: 1 for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults. (1.1), 2 as monotherapy or as adjunctive therapy to lithium or valproate for the maintenance treatment of bipolar I disorder in adults. (1.2).",
"Description": "UZEDY contains risperidone, an atypical antipsychotic. Risperidone belongs to the chemical class of benzisoxazole derivatives. The chemical designation is 3-[2-[4-(6-fluoro-1,2-benzoxazol-3-yl) piperidin-1yl] ethyl]-2-methyl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydropyrido[1,2-a] pyrimidin-4-one. Its molecular formula is C23H27FN4O2 and its molecular weight is 410.5 g/mol. The structural formula is. Risperidone is a white to off-white powder. It is practically insoluble in water and soluble in methanol and 0.1 N HCl. It has the following pKa values: 8.28 (piperidine moiety) and 3.12 (pyrimidine moiety). UZEDY (risperidone) extended-release injectable suspension, for subcutaneous use, is a sterile, preservative free, white to off-white opaque viscous suspension. It is available in the following strengths (and deliverable volumes from a single-dose prefilled syringe): 50 mg (0.14 mL), 75 mg (0.21 mL), 100 mg (0.28 mL), 125 mg (0.35 mL), 150 mg (0.42 mL), 200 mg (0.56 mL), and 250 mg (0.7 mL). The inactive ingredients include dimethyl sulfoxide (45% w/w), methoxy-poly(ethylene glycol)-co-poly(D,L-lactide) (15% w/w), and poly(D,L-lactide)-co-poly(ethylene glycol)-co-poly(D,L-lactide) (10% w/w)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "GRALISE is indicated for the management of postherpetic neuralgia. GRALISE is not substitutable with other gabapentin products because of differing pharmacokinetic profiles that affect the frequency of administration.",
"Description": "GRALISE contains gabapentin, a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) analogue, as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Gabapentin's chemical name is 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid; with a molecular formula of C9H17NO2 and a molecular weight of 171.24 g/mol. Gabapentin chemical structural formula is:. Gabapentin is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 3.7 and a pKa2 of 10.7. It is freely soluble in water and acidic and basic solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/ 0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is -1.25. GRALISE is intended for oral administration and is supplied as tablets containing 300 mg, 450 mg, 600 mg, 750 mg, or 900 mg of gabapentin USP. Each 300 mg tablet contains the inactive ingredients Copovidone NF, Hypromellose USP, Magnesium Stearate NF, Microcrystalline Cellulose NF, Polyethylene Oxide NF, and white film coating (Polyvinyl Alcohol USP, Talc USP, Titanium Oxide USP, Polyethylene Glycol 3350 USP, and Lecithin NF (soya)). Each 450 mg tablet contains the inactive ingredients Copovidone NF, Hypromellose USP, Magnesium Stearate NF, Polyethylene Oxide NF, and red film coating (Polyethylene glycol 3350 USP, Polyvinyl Alcohol USP, Talc USP, Titanium Oxide USP, and Iron Oxide Red NF). Each 600 mg tablet contains the inactive ingredients Copovidone NF, Hypromellose USP, Magnesium Stearate NF, Polyethylene Oxide NF, and beige film coating (Polyethylene Glycol 3350 USP, Polyvinyl Alcohol USP, Talc USP, Titanium Oxide USP, Iron Oxide Yellow NF, and Iron Oxide Red NF). The chemical name of sapropterin dihydrochloride is (6R)-2-amino-6-[(1R,2S)-1,2- dihydroxypropyl]-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4(1H)-pteridinone dihydrochloride and the molecular formula is C 9H 15N 5O 3·2HCl with a molecular weight of 314.17. Sapropterin dihydrochloride has the following structural formula. Sapropterin dihydrochloride is supplied as powder for oral solution containing 100 mg of sapropterin dihydrochloride (equivalent to 76.8 mg of sapropterin base). "Description": "The active ingredient in Pantoprazole Sodium Delayed-Release Tablets, USP, a PPI, is a substituted benzimidazole, 5-(Difluoromethoxy) -2- [[(3,4-dimethoxy-2- pyridyl)methyl] sulfinyl]benzimidazole, sodium salt, sesquihydrate, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its empirical formula is C16H14F2N3NaO4S . 1.5 H2O, with a molecular weight of 432.4. The structural formula is. Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate, USP is a white to off-white powder. Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate, USP is freely soluble in water, in methanol, in dehydrated alcohol, practically insoluble in hexane and dichloromethane. The stability of the compound in aqueous solution is pH-dependent. The rate of degradation increases with decreasing pH. At ambient temperature, the degradation half-life is approximately 2.8 hours at pH 5 and approximately 220 hours at pH 7.8. Pantoprazole Sodium is supplied as a Delayed-Release Tablet, available in two strengths (20 mg and 40 mg). Each Pantoprazole Sodium Delayed-Release Tablet, USP contains 45.11 mg or 22.55 mg of pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate, USP (equivalent to 40 mg or 20 mg pantoprazole, respectively) with the following inactive ingredients: calcium stearate, ferric oxide yellow, hydroxy propyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, methacrylic acid copolymer, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, sodium carbonate anhydrous, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. The tablets are imprinted with opacode black containing ammonium hydroxide, iron oxide black, propylene glycol and shellac. Pantoprazole Sodium Delayed-Release Tablets, (40 mg and 20 mg) complies with USP dissolution test 2."
