Valsartan is chemically described as N-(1-oxopentyl)-N-[[2′-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl) [1,1′-biphenyl]-4-yl]methyl]-L-valine. Its empirical formula is C24H29N5O3, its molecular weight is 435.5, and its structural formula is. Valsartan is a white to practically white fine powder. It is soluble in ethanol and methanol and slightly soluble in water. Diovan is available as tablets for oral administration, containing 40 mg, 80 mg, 160 mg or 320 mg of valsartan. Anaphylactic reactions, as adjunctive therapy to epinephrine and other standard measures, after the acute manifestations have been controlled. Preoperative, postoperative, or obstetric sedation. Prevention and control of nausea and vomiting associated with certain types of anesthesia and surgery. Therapy adjunctive to meperidine or other analgesics for control of post-operative pain. Sedation in both children and adults, as well as relief of apprehension and production of light sleep from which the patient can be easily aroused. Active and prophylactic treatment of motion sickness. Antiemetic therapy in postoperative patients.",
"Description": "Each 5 mL (teaspoonful) of Promethazine contains 6.25 mg of promethazine HCl. The inactive ingredients present are artificial banana flavor, artificial fruit flavor, artificial strawberry flavor, ascorbic acid, citric acid anhydrous, dehydrated alcohol, D&C Yellow No. 10, edetate disodium, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Red No. 40, glycerin, sucrose, methylparaben, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate dihydrate, and sodium propionate. Promethazine HCl is a racemic compound; the molecular formula is C17H20N2SHCl and its molecular weight is 320.88. Promethazine HCl, a phenothiazine derivative, is designated chemically as 10H-Phenothiazine-10-ethanamine, N,N, -trimethyl-, monohydrochloride, (±)- with the following structural formula. Promethazine HCl occurs as a white to faint yellow, practically odorless, crystalline powder which slowly oxidizes and turns blue on prolonged exposure to air. It is freely soluble in water and soluble in alcohol."

<IndicationAndUsage>Diovan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) indicated for: 1 Hypertension, to lower blood pressure in adults and children 1 year and older. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions (1.1) , 2 Heart failure (NYHA class II-IV), to reduce hospitalization for heart failure in adults (1.2) , 3 Post-myocardial infarction, for the reduction of cardiovascular mortality in clinically stable patients with left ventricular failure or left ventricular dysfunction following myocardial infarction in adults (1.3).</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Diovan (valsartan) is a nonpeptide, orally active, and specific angiotensin II receptor blocker acting on the AT1 receptor subtype. The inactive ingredients of the tablets are colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, iron oxides (yellow, black and/or red), magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol 8000, and titanium dioxide.</Description>
