"IndicationAndUsage": "Furosemide tablets are indicated in adults and pediatric patients for the treatment of edema associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and renal disease, including the nephrotic syndrome. Furosemide is particularly useful when an agent with greater diuretic potential is desired.",
"Description": "Furosemide is a diuretic which is an anthranilic acid derivative. Furosemide tablets, USP for oral administration contain furosemide, USP as the active ingredient and the following inactive ingredients: corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, and sodium starch glycolate. Chemically, it is 4-chloro-N-furfuryl-5-sulfamoylanthranilic acid. Furosemide , USP is available as white to off white round tablets for oral administration in dosage strengths of 20, 40 and 80 mg. Furosemide, USP is a white to slightly yellow odorless crystalline powder. It is practically insoluble in water, soluble in 15 parts of acetone, freely soluble in dimethylformamide and in solution of alkali hydroxides; soluble in methanol; sparingly soluble in alcohol; very slightly soluble in chloroform. The CAS Registry Number is 54-31-9. It has a molecular formula of C12H11ClN2O5S and a molecular weight of 330.75. The molecular structure is as follows. Tested by USP Dissolution Test 1."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Hydroxychloroquine sulfate is an antimalarial and antirheumatic indicated for the: 1 Treatment of uncomplicated malaria due to Plasmodium falciparum,Plasmodium malariae, Plasmodium ovale, and Plasmodium vivax in adult and pediatric patients. (1.1), 2 Prophylaxis of malaria in geographic areas where chloroquine resistance is not reported in adult and pediatric patients. (1.1), 3 Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in adults. (1.2), 4 Treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus in adults. (1.3), 5 Treatment of chronic discoid lupus erythematosus in adults. (1.4).",
"Description": "Hydroxychloroquine sulfate, USP is an antimalarial and antirheumatic drug, chemically described as 2-[[4-[(7-Chloro-4-quinolyl) amino]pentyl] ethylamino] ethanol sulfate (1:1) with the molecular formula C18H26ClN3OH2SO4. The molecular weight of hydroxychloroquine sulfate is 433.95. Its structural formula is. Hydroxychloroquine sulfate, USP is a white or practically white, crystalline powder, freely soluble in water; practically insoluble in alcohol, in chloroform, and in ether. Hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets, USP for oral administration contain 200 mg hydroxychloroquine sulfate, USP (equivalent to 155 mg of hydroxychloroquine) and the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, dibasic calcium phosphate, hypromellose, macrogol/PEG 3350, magnesium stearate, polysorbate 80, pregelatinized starch, talc, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Propranolol hydrochloride tablets are indicated in the management of hypertension. They may be used alone or used in combination with other antihypertensive agents, particularly a thiazide diuretic. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets are not indicated in the management of hypertensive emergencies.",
"Description": "Propranolol hydrochloride is a synthetic beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent chemically described as 2-Propanol, 1-[(1-methylethyl)amino]-3-(1-naphthalenyloxy)-, hydrochloride,(±)-. It's molecular and structural formulae are. C16H21NO2.HCl. Propranolol hydrochloride is a stable, white, crystalline solid which is readily soluble in water and in ethanol. Its molecular weight is 295.80. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP are available as 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, 60 mg, and 80 mg tablets for oral administration. The inactive ingredients contained in propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP are: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, and povidone. In addition, propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP 10 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg contain FD &C yellow No.6 Aluminium Lake and Color D&C Yellow No. 10; propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP 20 mg and 40mg contain FD&C Blue No.1 and propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP 60 mg contain D&C Red No. 30 Lake."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Propranolol hydrochloride tablets are indicated in the management of hypertension. They may be used alone or used in combination with other antihypertensive agents, particularly a thiazide diuretic. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets are not indicated in the management of hypertensive emergencies.",
"Description": "Propranolol hydrochloride is a synthetic beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent chemically described as 2-Propanol, 1-[(1-methylethyl)amino]-3-(1-naphthalenyloxy)-, hydrochloride,(±)-. It's molecular and structural formulae are. C16H21NO2.HCl. Propranolol hydrochloride is a stable, white, crystalline solid which is readily soluble in water and in ethanol. Its molecular weight is 295.80. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP are available as 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, 60 mg, and 80 mg tablets for oral administration. The inactive ingredients contained in propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP are: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, and povidone. In addition, propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP 10 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg contain FD &C yellow No.6 Aluminium Lake and Color D&C Yellow No. 10; propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP 20 mg and 40mg contain FD&C Blue No.1 and propranolol hydrochloride tablets, USP 60 mg contain D&C Red No. 30 Lake."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Ondansetron is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist indicated for the prevention of: 1 nausea and vomiting associated with highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including cisplatin greater than or equal to 50 mg/m2. (1), 2 nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy. (1), 3 nausea and vomiting associated with radiotherapy in patients receiving either total body irradiation, single high-dose fraction to the abdomen, or daily fractions to the abdomen. (1), 4 postoperative nausea and/or vomiting. (1).",
"Description": "The active ingredient in ondansetron orally disintegrating tablets, USP is ondansetron base, the racemic form of ondansetron, and a selective blocking agent of the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor type. Chemically it is (±) 1, 2, 3, 9-tetrahydro-9-methyl-3-[(2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl]-4H-carbazol-4-one. It has the following structural formula. The empirical formula is C18H19N3O representing a molecular weight of 293.36 g/mol. Each 4-mg ondansetron orally disintegrating tablet, USP for oral administration contains 4 mg ondansetron base. Each 8-mg ondansetron orally disintegrating tablet, USP for oral administration contains 8 mg ondansetron base. Each ondansetron orally disintegrating tablet, USP also contains the inactive ingredients aspartame, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, silicified microcrystalline cellulose and strawberry flavor. Ondansetron orally disintegrating tablets, USP are orally administered formulation of ondansetron which disintegrates on the tongue and does not require water to aid dissolution or swallowing."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Atenolol tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure lowers the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. These benefits have been seen in controlled trials of antihypertensive drugs from a wide variety of pharmacologic classes including atenolol. Control of high blood pressure should be part of comprehensive cardiovascular risk management, including, as appropriate, lipid control, diabetes management, antithrombotic therapy, smoking cessation, exercise, and limited sodium intake. Many patients will require more than 1 drug to achieve blood pressure goals. For specific advice on goals and management, see published guidelines, such as those of the National High Blood Pressure Education Program's Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure (JNC). Numerous antihypertensive drugs, from a variety of pharmacologic classes and with different mechanisms of action, have been shown in randomized controlled trials to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, and it can be concluded that it is blood pressure reduction, and not some other pharmacologic property of the drugs, that is largely responsible for those benefits. The largest and most consistent cardiovascular outcome benefit has been a reduction in the risk of stroke, but reductions in myocardial infarction and cardiovascular mortality also have been seen regularly. Elevated systolic or diastolic pressure causes increased cardiovascular risk, and the absolute risk increase per mmHg is greater at higher blood pressures, so that even modest reductions of severe hypertension can provide substantial benefit. Relative risk reduction from blood pressure reduction is similar across populations with varying absolute risk, so the absolute benefit is greater in patients who are at higher risk independent of their hypertension (for example, patients with diabetes or hyperlipidemia), and such patients would be expected to benefit from more aggressive treatment to a lower blood pressure goal. Some antihypertensive drugs have smaller blood pressure effects (as monotherapy) in black patients, and many antihypertensive drugs have additional approved indications and effects (e.g., on angina, heart failure, or diabetic kidney disease). These considerations may guide selection of therapy. Atenolol tablets may be administered with other antihypertensive agents.",

It is a relatively polar hydrophilic compound with a water solubility of 26.5 mg/mL at 37°C and a log partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.23. It is freely soluble in 1N HCl (300 mg/mL at 25°C) and less soluble in chloroform (3 mg/mL at 25°C). Atenolol tablets, USP are available as 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets for oral administration. Inactive Ingredients: Colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, magnesium carbonate, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium starch glycolate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Atenolol tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure lowers the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. These benefits have been seen in controlled trials of antihypertensive drugs from a wide variety of pharmacologic classes including atenolol. Control of high blood pressure should be part of comprehensive cardiovascular risk management, including, as appropriate, lipid control, diabetes management, antithrombotic therapy, smoking cessation, exercise, and limited sodium intake. Many patients will require more than 1 drug to achieve blood pressure goals. For specific advice on goals and management, see published guidelines, such as those of the National High Blood Pressure Education Program's Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure (JNC). Numerous antihypertensive drugs, from a variety of pharmacologic classes and with different mechanisms of action, have been shown in randomized controlled trials to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, and it can be concluded that it is blood pressure reduction, and not some other pharmacologic property of the drugs, that is largely responsible for those benefits. The largest and most consistent cardiovascular outcome benefit has been a reduction in the risk of stroke, but reductions in myocardial infarction and cardiovascular mortality also have been seen regularly. Elevated systolic or diastolic pressure causes increased cardiovascular risk, and the absolute risk increase per mmHg is greater at higher blood pressures, so that even modest reductions of severe hypertension can provide substantial benefit. Relative risk reduction from blood pressure reduction is similar across populations with varying absolute risk, so the absolute benefit is greater in patients who are at higher risk independent of their hypertension (for example, patients with diabetes or hyperlipidemia), and such patients would be expected to benefit from more aggressive treatment to a lower blood pressure goal. Some antihypertensive drugs have smaller blood pressure effects (as monotherapy) in black patients, and many antihypertensive drugs have additional approved indications and effects (e.g., on angina, heart failure, or diabetic kidney disease). These considerations may guide selection of therapy. Atenolol tablets may be administered with other antihypertensive agents.",
"Description": "Atenolol, a synthetic, beta1-selective (cardioselective) adrenoreceptor blocking agent, may be chemically described as benzeneacetamide, 4 -[2’-hydroxy-3’-[(1- methylethyl) amino] propoxy]-. The molecular formula is C14H22N2O3 and its structural formula is:. Atenolol (free base) has a molecular weight of 266. It is a relatively polar hydrophilic compound with a water solubility of 26.5 mg/mL at 37°C and a log partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.23. It is freely soluble in 1N HCl (300 mg/mL at 25°C) and less soluble in chloroform (3 mg/mL at 25°C). Atenolol tablets, USP are available as 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets for oral administration. Inactive Ingredients: Colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, magnesium carbonate, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium starch glycolate."

The chemical name is (±) 1,8-diethyl-1,3,4,9-tetrahydropyrano-[3,4-b]indole-1-acetic acid. The molecular weight of the base is 287.36. It has a pKa of 4.65 and an n-octanol: water partition coefficient of 11.4 at pH 7.4. The molecular formula for etodolac is C17H21NO3, and it has the following structural formula. Each film coated tablet, for oral administration, contains 400 mg or 500 mg of etodolac, USP. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hypromellose, iron oxide yellow, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, povidone, sodium lauryl sulphate, talc, and titanium dioxide.
