"IndicationAndUsage": "Gabapentin capsules are indicated for: 1 Management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults, 2 Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in gabapentin capsules USP is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C9 H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is. Gabapentin, USP is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a pH of 6.5 - 7.5. It is freely soluble in water and sparingly soluble in methanol. Each gabapentin capsule contains 100 mg, 300mg or 400 mg of gabapentin and the following inactive ingredients. Corn starch, magnesium stearate, mannitol and talc. The 100mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, and water. The 300mg capsule shell contains gelatin, iron oxide yellow, titanium dioxide and water. The 400mg capsule shell contains FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Yellow #6, gelatin, titanium dioxide and water. The imprinting ink Green Tek SB 4027 contains shellac, iron oxide yellow & FD & C Blue # 1 Aluminum Lake. The imprinting ink Blue Tek SB 6018 contains Shellac and FD & C Blue # 2 Aluminum Lake."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Topiramate capsules are indicated for: 1 Epilepsy: initial monotherapy for the treatment of partial-onset or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in patients 2 years of age and older (1.1); adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures, primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures, or seizures associated with Lennox- Gastaut syndrome in patients 2 years of age and older (1.2), 2 Preventive treatment of migraine in patients 12 years of age and older (1.3).",
"Description": "Topiramate, USP is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide. Topiramate capsules are available as 15 mg and 25 mg capsules for oral administration as whole capsules or opened and sprinkled onto soft food. Topiramate, USP is a white to off white powder. Topiramate is most soluble in alkaline solutions containing sodium hydroxide or sodium phosphate and having a pH of 9 to 10. It is freely soluble in dichloromethane. The solubility in water is 9.8 mg/mL. Its saturated solution has a pH of 6.3. Topiramate has the molecular formula C12H21NO8S and a molecular weight of 339.36. Topiramate is designated chemically as 2,3:4,5- Di-O-isopropylidene-β-D-fructopyranose sulfamate (USP) and has the following structural formula. Topiramate capsules, USP contain topiramate-coated spheres in a hard gelatin capsule. The inactive ingredients are black iron oxide, cellulose acetate, gelatin, hypromellose, potassium hydroxide, povidone, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium lauryl sulfate, sugar sphere, talc and titanium dioxide."

The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is –1.25. Each gabapentin capsule contains 100 mg, 300 mg, or 400 mg of gabapentin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: mannitol, pre-gelatinized starch and talc. The 100 mg capsule shell contains titanium dioxide, gelatin and sodium lauryl sulfate. The 300 mg and 400 mg capsule shell contains FD&C Red 40, D&C Yellow 10, titanium dioxide, gelatin and sodium lauryl sulfate. The ink ingredients common for all strengths are shellac, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution, black iron oxide and potassium hydroxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "DRONABINOL CAPSULES, USP are indicated in adults for the treatment of: 1 anorexia associated with weight loss in patients with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)., 2 nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy in patients who have failed to respond adequately to conventional antiemetic treatments.",
"Description": "Dronabinol is a cannabinoid designated chemically as (6aR,10aR)-6a,7,8,10a-Tetrahydro-6,6,9trimethyl-3-pentyl-6H-dibenzo[b,d]-pyran-1-ol. Dronabinol has the following empirical and structural formulas. C21H30O2 (molecular weight = 314.46). Dronabinol, the active ingredient in dronabinol capsules, USP, is synthetic delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-THC). Dronabinol is a light yellow resinous oil that is sticky at room temperature and hardens upon refrigeration. Dronabinol is insoluble in water and is formulated in sesame oil. It has a pKa of 10.6 and an octanol-water partition coefficient: 6,000:1 at pH 7. Dronabinol capsule strengths are formulated with the following inactive ingredients: FD&C Yellow No. 6, gelatin, glycerin, purified water, sesame oil, titanium dioxide, iron oxide blackIngredients in imprint ink, shellac glaze, isopropyl alcohol, n-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, and ammonium hydroxide. The 2.5 mg and 5 mg capsules also contain FD&C Blue No. 1 and FD&C Red No. 40."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pregabalin capsules are indicated for: 1 Management of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, 2 Management of postherpetic neuralgia, 3 Adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older, 4 Management of fibromyalgia, 5 Management of neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury.",
"Description": "Pregabalin is described chemically as (S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C8H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 159.23. The chemical structure of pregabalin is. Pregabalin, USP is a white to off-white, colored powder with a pKa1 of 4.2 and a pKa2 of 10.6. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is – 1.35. Pregabalin capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 225, and 300 mg of pregabalin. Each capsule contains following inactive ingredients: gelatin, pregelatinised starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc and titanium dioxide. Additionally, 50 mg capsules contain iron oxide yellow; 75 mg and 100 mg capsules contain FD & C Yellow 6, and FD & C Red 3; 150 mg capsules contain FD & C Yellow 6, and D & C Yellow 10; 200 mg and 225 mg capsules contain iron oxide red, and iron oxide yellow; and 300 mg capsules contain FD & C Blue 1, FD & C Yellow 6. The capsule body is imprinted with black pharmaceutical ink which contains shellac, propylene glycol, black iron oxide, and potassium hydroxide."

"Description": "Ranolazine is available as a film-coated, non-scored, extended-release tablet for oral administration. Ranolazine is a racemic mixture, chemically described as 1-piperazineacetamide, N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-4-[2-hydroxy-3-(2-methoxyphenoxy)propyl]-, (±)-. It has an empirical formula of C24H33N3O4, a molecular weight of 427.54 g/mole, and the following structural formula. Ranolazine is a white to off-white crystalline powder. Ranolazine is soluble in dichloromethane and methanol. Ranolazine extended-release tablets contain 500 mg or 1000 mg of ranolazine and the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer, sodium lauryl sulfate, polysorbate 80, hypromellose, sodium hydroxide and magnesium stearate.
