"IndicationAndUsage": "SENSORCAINE / SENSORCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE is indicated in adults for the production of local or regional anesthesia or analgesia for surgery, dental and oral surgery procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and for obstetrical procedures. Specific concentrations and presentations of SENSORCAINE / SENSORCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE are recommended for each type of block indicated to produce local or regional anesthesia or analgesia [see Dosage and Administration ( 2.2)].",
"Description": "SENSORCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE injections contains bupivacaine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic agent with and without epinephrine (as bitartrate) 1:200,000. The route of administration for SENSORCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE is parenterally by injection, for infiltration and perineural use. Bupivacaine hydrochloride is a white or almost white, crystalline powder or colorless crystals, soluble in water, freely soluble in alcohol. Bupivacaine is related chemically and pharmacologically to the aminoacyl local anesthetics. It is a homologue of mepivacaine and is chemically related to lidocaine. All three of these anesthetics contain an amide linkage between the aromatic nucleus and the amino, or piperidine group. They differ in this respect from the procaine-type local anesthetics, which have an ester linkage. Bupivacaine hydrochloride chemical name is 2-piperidinecarboxamide, 1-butyl- N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-, monohydrochloride, monohydrate. The molecular formula is C 18H 28N 2O·HCl·H 2O, with a molecular weight of 342.9 g/mol. Bupivacaine hydrochloride monohydrate has the following chemical structure:. The pK aof bupivacaine (8.1) is similar to that of lidocaine (7.86). However, bupivacaine possesses a greater degree of lipid solubility and is protein bound to a greater extent than lidocaine. Epinephrine bitartrate is a white to greyish white or light brownish-grey, odorless, crystalline powder, freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in 96% ethanol and methanol, practically insoluble in chloroform, methylene chloride and ether. Epinephrine bitartrate chemical name is (-)-3,4-Dihydroxy- α [(methylamino)methyl] benzyl alcohol (+) tartrate (1:1) salt. The molecular formula is C 9H 13NO 3·C 4H 6O 6, with a molecular weight of 333.29 g/mol. Epinephrine bitartrate has the following chemical structure:."

SENSORCAINE WITH EPINEPHRINE injections contains bupivacaine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic agent with and without epinephrine (as bitartrate) 1:200,000. Epinephrine bitartrate has the following chemical structure:.

Respiratory diseases: Berylliosis, fulminating or disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy, idiopathic eosinophilic pneumonias, symptomatic sarcoidosis. Rheumatic disorders: As adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in acute gouty arthritis; acute rheumatic carditis; ankylosing spondylitis; psoriatic arthritis; rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (selected cases may require low-dose maintenance therapy). For the treatment of dermatomyositis, temporal arteritis, polymyositis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.</IndicationAndUsage>

Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection, USP sterile powder is an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid, which contains methylprednisolone sodium succinate as the active ingredient. Methylprednisolone sodium succinate, USP, is the sodium succinate ester of methylprednisolone, and it occurs as a white, or nearly white, odorless hygroscopic, amorphous solid. It is very soluble in water and in alcohol; it is insoluble in chloroform and is very slightly soluble in acetone. The chemical name for methylprednisolone sodium succinate is pregna-1,4-diene-3,20- dione, 21-(3-carboxy-1-oxopropoxy)-11, 17-dihydroxy-6-methyl-monosodium salt, (6α, 11β). The structural formula is represented below:. Methylprednisolone sodium succinate is soluble in water; it may be administered in a small volume of diluent and is well suited for intravenous use in situations where high blood levels of methylprednisolone are required rapidly. Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection, USP is available in three strengths for intravenous or intramuscular administration. 40 mg (Single-Dose Vial) Each mL (when mixed as directed) contains methylprednisolone sodium succinate equivalent to 40 mg methylprednisolone; also 1.6 mg monobasic sodium phosphate anhydrous; 17.46 mg dibasic sodium phosphate dried and 25 mg lactose hydrous; and benzyl alcohol. 125 mg (Single-Dose Vial) Each 2 mL (when mixed as directed) contains methylprednisolone sodium succinate equivalent to 125 mg methylprednisolone; also 1.6 mg monobasic sodium phosphate anhydrous; and 17.4 mg dibasic sodium phosphate dried; and benzyl alcohol. 1 g (Multiple Dose Vial ) Each 16 mL (when mixed as directed) contains methylprednisolone sodium succinate equivalent to 1 gram methylprednisolone; also 12.8 mg monobasic sodium phosphate anhydrous; and 139.2 mg dibasic sodium phosphate dried; and benzyl alcohol. IMPORTANT- Use only Bacteriostatic Water For Injection with Benzyl Alcohol when reconstituting Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection, USP. Use within 48 hours after mixing. When necessary, the pH of each formula was adjusted with sodium hydroxide so that the pH of the reconstituted solution is within the USP specified range of 7 to 8 and the tonicities are, for the 40 mg per mL solution, 0.50 osmolar; for the 125 mg per 2 mL solution, 0.40 osmolar; for the 1 g per 16 mL solution is 0.40 osmolar. (Isotonic saline = 0.28 osmolar).

<IndicationAndUsage>Cyanocobalamin is indicated for Vitamin B 12deficiencies due to malabsorption which may be associated with the following conditions:. Addisonian (pernicious) anemia. Gastrointestinal pathology, dysfunction, or surgery, including gluten enteropathy or sprue, small bowel bacterial overgrowth, total or partial gastrectomy. Fish tapeworm infestation. Malignancy of pancreas or bowel. Folic acid deficiency. It may be possible to treat the underlying disease by surgical correction of anatomic lesions leading to small bowel bacterial overgrowth, expulsion of fish tapeworm, discontinuation of drugs leading to vitamin malabsorption (see Drug/Laboratory Test Interactions), use of a gluten-free diet in nontropical sprue, or administration of antibiotics in tropical sprue. Such measures remove the need for long-term administration of cyanocobalamin. Requirements of Vitamin B 12in excess of normal (due to pregnancy, thyrotoxicosis, hemolytic anemia, hemorrhage, malignancy, hepatic and renal disease) can usually be met with oral supplementation. Cyanocobalamin injection is also suitable for the Vitamin B 12absorption test (Schilling test).</IndicationAndUsage>
