"IndicationAndUsage": "For the management of manifestations of psychotic disorders. For the treatment of schizophrenia. To control nausea and vomiting. For relief of restlessness and apprehension before surgery. For acute intermittent porphyria. As an adjunct in the treatment of tetanus. To control the manifestations of the manic type of manic-depressive illness. For relief of intractable hiccups. For the treatment of severe behavioral problems in children (1 to 12 years of age) marked by combativeness and/or explosive hyperexcitable behavior (out of proportion to immediate provocations), and in the short-term treatment of hyperactive children who show excessive motor activity with accompanying conduct disorders consisting of some or all of the following symptoms: impulsivity, difficulty sustaining attention, aggressivity, mood lability and poor frustration tolerance.",
"Description": "Chlorpromazine hydrochloride, a dimethylamine derivative of phenothiazine, has a chemical formula of 2-chloro-10-[3-(dimethylamino) propyl] phenothiazine monohydrochloride. It is available in tablets for oral administration. It has the following structural formula. Chlorpromazine hydrochloride occurs as white or slightly creamy white, odorless, crystalline powder which darkens on prolonged exposure to light. Each tablet for oral administration contains 10 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, or 200 mg of chlorpromazine hydrochloride, USP. Inactive ingredients: acacia, anhydrous lactose, calcium carbonate, D&C Yellow #10 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Blue #2 Aluminum Lake, glycerine, hypromellose 2910, isopropyl alcohol, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol 6000, polyethylene glycol 8000, povidone K30, sodium starch glycolate (Type A), sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide."

"Description": "Naproxen Delayed-Release Tablets are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs available as follows:Naproxen Delayed-Release Tablets are available as enteric-coated white tablets 500 mg of naproxen for oral administration.Naproxen is a propionic acid derivative related to the arylacetic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The chemical names for naproxen and naproxen sodium are (S)-6-methoxy-α-methyl-2-naphthaleneacetic acid and (S)-6-methoxy-α- methyl-2-naphthaleneacetic acid, sodium salt, respectively. Naproxen has a molecular weight of 230.26 and a molecular formula of C H O . Naproxen and naproxen sodium have the following structures, respectively. Naproxen is an odorless, white to off-white crystalline substance. It is lipid-soluble, practically insoluble in water at low pH and freely soluble in water at high pH. The octanol/water partition coefficient of naproxen at pH 7.4 is 1.6 to 1.8. Naproxen sodium is a white to creamy white, crystalline solid, freely soluble in water at neutral pH. The inactive ingredients in Naproxen Delayed-Release Tablets include: croscarmellose sodium, povidone and magnesium stearate. The enteric coating dispersion contains methacrylic acid copolymer, talc, triethyl citrate, sodium hydroxide and purified water. The imprinting on the tablets is black ink. The dissolution of this enteric-coated naproxen tablet is pH dependent with rapid dissolution above pH 6. There is no dissolution below pH 4."

It is soluble in acetic acid, sparingly soluble in chloroform, practically insoluble in water. Its molecular weight is 252.27 g/mol. Oxcarbazepine film-coated tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: black iron oxide, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, red iron oxide, talc, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide. Organic Impurities Procedure 2 used. FDA approved dissolution test specifications differ from USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Felodipine extended-release tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. Felodipine extended-release tablets may be used alone or concomitantly with other antihypertensive agents.",
"Description": "Felodipine is a calcium antagonist (calcium channel blocker). Felodipine is a dihydropyridine derivative that is chemically described as ± ethyl methyl 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-1,4-dihydro-2, 6-dimethyl-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate. Its molecular formula is C18H19Cl2NO4 and its structural formula is. Felodipine, USP is a light yellow to yellow crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 384.26. It is insoluble in water and is freely soluble in acetone and in methanol; very slightly soluble in heptane. Felodipine is a racemic mixture. Felodipine extended-release tablets provide extended release of felodipine. They are available as tablets containing 2.5 mg, 5 mg or 10 mg of felodipine, USP for oral administration. Inactive ingredients are: colloidal silicon dioxide, hydroxy propyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose anhydrous, magnesium oxide, microcrystalline cellulose, polyoxyl 40 hydrogenated castor oil, propyl gallate, propylene glycol, sodium stearyl fumarate, talc, titanium dioxide and additional agents listed below. 2.5 mg tablets: Ferric oxide yellow and lake of indigo carmine. 5 and 10 mg tablets: Ferric oxide red and ferric oxide yellow. Meets USP Dissolution Test 3."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Sodium nitroprusside is a direct acting vasodilator indicated for. Immediate reduction of blood pressure ( 1.1). Producing controlled hypotension to reduce bleeding during surgery. ( 1.2). Treatment of acute heart failure to reduce left ventricular end-diastolic pressure, pulmonary capillary wedge pressure, peripheral vascular resistance and mean arterial blood pressure. ( 1.3).",
"Description": "Sodium nitroprusside is disodium pentacyanonitrosylferrate(2-) dihydrate, a hypotensive agent whose structural formula is. Sodium Nitroprusside has molecular formula Na 2[Fe(CN) 5NO] 2H 2O and molecular weight of 297.95. Dry sodium nitroprusside is a reddish-brown powder, soluble in water. Sodium nitroprusside solution is rapidly degraded by trace contaminants, often with resulting color changes [see Dosage and Administration ( 2.1)] . Sodium Nitroprusside in 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, ready to use is supplied as a sterile, unpreserved, colorless to red-brown solution packaged in a single-dose 100-mL vial. Each 100 mL of solution in vial contains 50 mg of sodium nitroprusside (0.5 mg/mL), 900 mg of sodium chloride, USP (9 mg/mL), in sterile water for injection, USP. Sodium Nitroprusside in 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, ready to use is also supplied as a sterile, unpreserved, colorless to red-brown solution packaged in a single-dose 100-mL vial. "Description": "Doxepin hydrochloride is one of a class of psychotherapeutic agents known as dibenzoxepin tricyclic compounds. The molecular formula of the compound is C 19H 21NO ∙ HCl having a molecular weight of 315.84. It is a white crystalline powder freely soluble in water, in ethanol (96%), and methylene chloride. It may be represented by the following structural formula:. Chemically, doxepin hydrochloride is a dibenzoxepin derivative and is the first of a family of tricyclic psychotherapeutic agents. Specifically, it is an isomeric mixture of 1-Propanamine, 3-dibenz[ b,e] oxepin-11 (6 H)ylidene- N,N-dimethyl-hydrochloride. Each 10 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg and 100 mg doxepin capsule for oral administration contains doxepin hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 10 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg and 100 mg of doxepin, respectively and the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch and sodium lauryl sulfate. The empty gelatin capsule shells contain gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide. In addition, the 10 mg empty gelatin capsule shells contain iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow, the 25 mg and 50 mg empty gelatin capsule shells contain D&C Yellow 10 and FD&C Yellow 6, and the 75 mg and 100 mg empty gelatin capsule shells contain D&C Yellow 10 and FD&C Blue 1. The imprinting ink may contain ferrosoferric oxide, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol and shellac glaze."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Terbutaline sulfate is indicated for the prevention and reversal of bronchospasm in patients 12 years of age and older with asthma and reversible bronchospasm associated with bronchitis and emphysema.",
"Description": "Terbutaline sulfate USP is a beta-adrenergic agonist bronchodilator available as tablets of 2.5 mg (2.05 mg of the free base) and 5 mg (4.1 mg of the free base) for oral administration. Terbutaline sulfate is ±-α-[(tert –butylamino) methyl]-3,5-dihydroxybenzyl alcohol sulfate (2:1) (salt). The molecular formula is (C12H19NO3)2 H2SO4 and the structural formula is. Terbutaline sulfate USP is a white to gray-white crystalline powder. It is odorless or has a faint odor of acetic acid. It is soluble in water and in 0.1N hydrochloric acid, slightly soluble in methanol, and insoluble in chloroform. Its molecular weight is 548.65. Inactive Ingredients: lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, and magnesium stearate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Zaleplon capsules are indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia. Zaleplon capsules have been shown to decrease the time to sleep onset for up to 30 days in controlled clinical studies (see Clinical Trials under CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). "Description": "Zaleplon is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic from the pyrazolopyrimidine class. The chemical name of zaleplon is N-[3-(3-cyanopyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-7-yl)phenyl]-N-ethylacetamide. Its molecular formula is C17H15N5O, and its molecular weight is 305.34. The structural formula is shown below. Zaleplon is a white to off-white powder that is practically insoluble in water and sparingly soluble in alcohol or propylene glycol. Its partition coefficient in octanol/water is constant (log PC = 1.23) over the pH range of 1 to 7. Zaleplon capsules USP contain zaleplon as the active ingredient. Inactive ingredients consist of microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate, lactose, gelatin, titanium dioxide, FD&C blue #1, FD&C red #40 and black iron oxide.
